What we're watching: HDNet World Report is doing a special on adult entertainment and it's role in pushing new technology that we're sure some of you will enjoy. ABC.com says their new show The One: Making a Music Star is not HD, but Titan disagrees, so if you love these American Idol-style shows you should keep an eye on that. Discovery also brings Rio Bravo: A Natural History of the Wild West for your viewing pleasure. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Sure the major networks don't have anything new going tonight (again), but there is still plenty to watch if you have cable or satellite. If you don't know about Saved and The Closer yet then we really can't help you other than to say watch them. INHD brings us a special high-def presentation on the Miami Heat's NBA Championship season, Dirk and Avery might not be ready to watch this yet. HDNet aired the shuttle launch and since it landed today without incident they'll run that tonight just for thoroughness. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Just because the major networks have brought us absolutely nothing new to watch tonight is no reason to be sad, HBO & Showtime have your back with new episodes of Entourage, Brotherhood, Deadwood, and Lucky Louie. The National Poker League is on INHD while HDNet continues their concert series with the 2006 Jammys. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Our favorite director, M Night Shyamalan's Unbreakable is on ABC tonight, leading off a pretty busy night of programming. Like The 4400 and Kyle XY before it, Brotherhood goes from cable to network tonight on CBS. HDNet even brings us winter in July with a ski jumping competition but we'll be checking out Cedric the Entertainer's comedy special on HBO.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Unlike Fox Widescreen, Kyle XY is HD, despite ABC's conflicting listings of it so there is that tonight. We've also got all four episodes of Best Ranger 2006 tonight on Discovery HD, as well as more World Cup of Softball Action with the United States taking on Canada. Our traditional high definition listings continue below.

What we're watching: TNT brings something new for us tonight, Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From The Stories Of Stephen King, the beginning of a four week television event. It's a television event, how can you possibly not watch that? The WNBA All-Star Game is also tonight on ESPN, otherwise it's the same reruns you're used to.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Well the shuttle finally launched last week, you can catch highlights on tonight's HDNet World Report. However, most eyes will be on the MLB All Star game, where a heavily favored American League team matches up against the National League All-Stars with home field advantage for the World Series on the line. Last but not least on Starz we have the classic film Don't Be a Menace. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: It's All-Star time in baseball, which means tonight we get to watch big strong hopefully-not-juiced-up-on-HGH guys hit balls out of the park on the Home Run Derby on ESPN. Wedding Crashers is also up on Cinemax, while the premiere episode of Brotherhood makes an encore appearance tonight on Showtime. All that said, we're pretty much locked in to TNT on Monday night for The Closer and Saved. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: We've got the usual HBO shows for a Sunday night lineup but tonight you may want to flip over to Showtime for an all new show, Brotherhood. The basis for the story are two brothers, one a politician and one a career criminal living in a small Rhode Island community. If you need more convincing you can check out a review of tonight's episode on TV Squad (spoilers). Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Wednesday nights are pretty dry for HD, however INHD's Mojo does bring a new episode  of After Hours with Daniel and London Live. Since the shuttle launched yesterday, HD Net can finally air a recap of their coverage tonight if you missed the actual event.Battlefield Earth, a pretty bad movie as judged by the reviewers is on Cinemax tonight, maybe HD can make it better. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: The shuttle launch is currently set to go at 2:37 p.m. and is on HDNet, the crew is already strapped in and ready, so now all that is left is for the weather to hold up. Celebrating the 4th in high def isn't easy, but as Flibberty Gibbet pointed out, PBS should be showing A Capital Fourth, live from Washington D.C. in HD, check your local listings. Also on HDNet movies tonight is the excellent surfing documentary Step Into Liquid. It will make anyone want to get on a surfboard if you watch, we guarantee it.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Saved and The Closer check in to their usual Monday night positions, but also tonight is a Discovery HD Theater all new show, Best Ranger 2006. More than two dozen two-man Army Ranger teams competed for 60 straight hours to see who is the best. With events like an unknown-distance run blind weapons assembly/disassembly, this pretty much blows away the Olympics.Otherwise, ESPN brings us Atlanta vs. St. Louis in baseball, while HD DVD owners can check Constantine on Cinemax and compare quality. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Forget Entourage, Deadwood or Desperate Housewives. Tonight is all about Fat Fiancees on Discovery HD. If following the tradition of fattening up a bride-to-be in order for her to appear beautiful and ready for a good marriage doesn't appeal to you, there are also How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (same documentary, except shown on CBS), and Men of Honor on Fox tonight. The space shuttle launch is still not a go, scrubbed for the second straight day, although Jeff let us know that 2001: A Space Oddyssey on HDNet looks GREAT so you may want to check that out. What we're watching: Saturday night is interesting once again, with the big boys lining up Lilo & Stitch, Bridget Jones' Diary and Deep Impact tonight. HDNet also came to play, with a re-air of the shuttle launch (it should be launching about the time this post goes live or not, the launch rumors were debunked by bad weather, they'll try again tomorrow), and the HD premiere of 2001: A Space Odyssey on HDNet Movies. It's Lance Armstrong night on Discovery, where they celebrate the start of a Lance-less Tour de France by reairing a bunch of his specials. Mr. July, Will Smith, checks in with Men in Black on TNT and Independence Day on HBO-HD.Sports fans are probably watching Brazil vs. France at the World Cup right now on ESPN, while NASCAR queues up night racing at Daytona tonight on Fox.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Kyle XY makes a jump from ABC family to the big-dog ABC network tonight, it's not exactly new, but you probably haven't seen it. ABC.com says it's not in HD (although they've been wrong before), while Titan TV says it is. A family drama with a sci-fi twist may get an eyeball tonight...if it is in HD. Following the theme of reruns from other networks, Howard TV is on INHD tonight following the Yankees vs. Mets game. Our traditional high definition listings continue below.

What we're watching: Of course we've got Earl & The Office repeats for you tonight, but what else? Of course there is a new episode of Windfall. Even though you might not have MHD yet, the MuchMusic Video Awards 2006 re-air tonight on INHD with many of the same artists we usually see on MTV. Otherwise, Superman II is on Cinemax if you want to compare it to Superman Returns before the HD DVD comes out.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: A rerun rewind, in the face of so many old episodes, we'll go with the Wednesday night standard in a back-to-back Lost showing. The NBA Draft is tonight (it was just a new basketball) and unfortunately SD, it would be nice if ESPN at least filled up the widescreen with relevant draft ticker info. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Last week, Miami clinched the NBA title and a star was born in Dwyane Wade, today, the only new show on is WB's Pepper Dennis. Ouch. Oh well, there is also the rather odd The Brothers Grimm on Starz. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Saved & The Closer have established themselves as part of the summer high-def landscape, and they're back tonight. The reviewer at TV Squad didn't like Saved very much, but you may want to give it a shot. It's a pretty good Grey's Anatomy substitute without all the estrogen floating around. The College World Series continue on ESPN at 7, but there's not much else new tonight. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.
