Well, after last week's technical issues with the show, I believe that everything will work perfectly today. Why? Well, based on Doc Rock's input, I have a new WiFi router that should handle the streaming traffic with no problem. I have changed the settings for the upload to reduce the bandwidth requirements a bit. And most importantly, Bionic Barb is not working from home this week and clogging our precious bandwidth with VPN traffic. My good buddy Randy Nelson won't be able to join me this week, so if he's the "bad luck Brian" who has been causing my Ustream woes, that should be another check mark in the plus column. (Just kidding, Randy, I love having you on the show!) As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM EST (2 PM PST / 10 PM GMT) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the demos start. To join in on the chat and watch the live streaming video, drop by TUAW about five minutes before the start time to get your instructions on how to participate. If you're unable to join us for the show, remember that you can always subscribe to the video podcast and watch the show at your leisure in iTunes or any other favorite podcatching app. The past shows are also available on the TUAW YouTube channel. The chat is on IRC: join us on server chat1.ustream.tv, chat room #tuaw-tv.

Today on TUAW TV Live, my cohort and partner in crime Randy Nelson and I will be testing out FaceTime's utility in doing live two-person web shows. Oh, and coincidentally we'll be chatting about some of the latest Apple news, maybe destroying some rumors and definitely interacting with the chat room crowd. 02.13.2013

After a bunch of TUAW TV Live episodes featuring various buddies Skyped into my machine, I've decided to do a solo gig this week. I'm not sure if Skype is what has been causing some of the issues that have occurred recently, but this might be a good way to do a little bit of troubleshooting while having a whole lot of fun. Believe it or not, I have some unboxing to do, so you'll get to see some new toys. There are a few new favorite apps I want to show off as well, so be prepared for demo time! And as always, I will be responding to the insanity of the chat room. As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM EST (2 PM PST / 10 PM GMT) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the demos start. To join in on the chat and watch the live streaming video, drop by TUAW about five minutes before the start time to get your instructions on how to participate. CES 2013 is a memory now, but for those in the Apple world we have a big event coming up in just two weeks -- Macworld/iWorld 2013 in San Francisco. The event is part conference, part expo, part three-ring circus, and it's also the place where TUAW readers can join up with the staff to talk about all things Apple. For those of you who won't be able to make it to San Francisco's Moscone Center West this year to join us, we'll have plenty of coverage. Today on the show, my guest and fellow TUAW blogger Mike Schramm will join me to talk about what he saw at CES and what we should expect at Macworld/iWorld. Below, you'll find a Ustream livestream viewer and a chat tool. The chat tool allows you to participate by asking questions or making comments. You'll be watching the show in glorious HD! Fans of IRC can pop into the chat on server chat1.ustream.tv, chat room #tuaw-tv. 01.02.2013

The last few days at the Sande household have been hectic, what with Bionic Barb getting hit with a stomach virus, our Internet service providing dial-up modem speeds for several days, what appeared to be a faulty AirPort Extreme Base Station and some other hardware that's apparently gone bad. It's also that time of year when a lot of people start thinking about changing their lives for the better, so on today's TUAW TV Live we'll chat about resolutions and how quickly they are usually broken -- and how some apps can help you keep improving your life. I'll be joined today by fellow TUAWer Mike Wehner. Below, you'll find a Ustream livestream viewer and a chat tool. The chat tool allows you to participate by asking questions or making comments. You'll be watching the show in glorious HD! If you're familiar with IRC, the chat room can be joined by pointing to server chat1.ustream.tv, chat room #tuaw-tv. Now that 2013 is officially underway and the holiday season is just a pile of glittery wrap sitting in the trash can on the curb, we're back for another year of TUAW TV Live. While I don't really have any specific topics to chat about today or any new apps that deserve an hour's worth of demos, it'll be nice to get back into the driver's seat here at the TUAW TV Live studio and chat with the regulars. As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM EST (2 PM PST / 10 PM GMT) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the demos start. Yeah, so I'm in LA right now. That doesn't mean that I'm hitting the beaches, cruising the freeways, or surfing. No, I'm here with Bionic Barb (she's attending a conference), and basically I'm working on my TUAW writing and doing some edits on a book. What it does mean is that I'm really sick and tired of being holed up in this hotel, so it's going to be a refreshing change of pace to chat with all of you on TUAW TV Live today. This week, I'm in Los Angeles, Calif. While I can't guarantee that today's show will come from poolside (the hotel I'm staying at is really close to LAX and the airplane noise might be a bit loud), I can assure you that we'll have a chance to chat about our favorite fruit-flavored consumer electronics company today. And there's a lot to talk about! Apple has teased the world with invitations to an event on October 23, I've fallen in love with a new social media app (Lightt), and there are also a number of software and hardware announcements that have made their way into my inbox since last Wednesday.
