Blizzard has announced a new Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft livestream scheduled for 10:00 am PDT Friday, July 26th on their Twitch.tv channel. The broadcast will focus especially The Forge in Hearthstone, one of the four game modes available. The Forge mode in particular is designed to test players' deck-building skills, by providing a set of cards at a match's beginning from which the participants must then build the deck they use in the match. Once a player has completed their set of Forge duels they are allowed to keep the cards they used to build their decks. So far this particular mode has not been showcased, so this Friday's Twitch.tv cast will be the first we've seen of it in action. The developers also plan to discuss some of the evolution of The Forge, and how they've tweaked and changed it since the mode was first announced. Make sure to mark your calenders for 10:00 am PDT this coming Friday, and learn all about The Forge mode in Hearthstone.

Ladies and gentleman, start your time machines! Today marks the launch of EverQuest's Fippy Darkpaw progression server, and SOE has a trio of new Live Cast videos with the dev team available for viewing on its YouTube channel. The discussion is hosted by Eric "Piestro" Cleaver and features lead designer Adam Bell, designer Ed Hardin, and lead programmer Steve Klug. Topics covered include the hows and whys of a progression server, the world and zone revamps, and the XP curve (which the team says will be slowed down quite a bit relative to the live game). "There are no 'hell levels,' but it will still be slower than it is on a normal server," Hardin says. The team also talks about how certain races and classes, and even the game's tutorial, won't be available from launch, as they're locked to certain expansions and will only become available as the progression server ages. Speaking of progressing, the devs have implemented a brand new voting system with a dedicated in-game UI in order to afford players the opportunity to choose when the server should move to the next expansion. As far as who gets to vote, Bell says that "you'll need to be on the progression server and at least level 30 in order to vote to unlock the next expansion, and we may raise that level as the expansion unlocks continue." Head past the cut to view the entire Live Cast in three parts.

Though BlizzCon 2010 doesn't officially start until tomorrow, the fun is already starting today. While attendees are flying in to Anaheim by the zepplin-load, WoW Insider is already on the ground. Later today, we will have our annual BlizzCon goodie bag gallery for you, and tonight, we will be hosting our WoW Insider BlizzCon Reader Meetup at the Anabella hotel. If you can't make it to the meetup, don't worry -- we will be livecasting the entire three-hour event here on the site via Justin.tv beginning at 10 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. PDT tonight. Though we aren't giving away an in-game pet to every viewer of the livecast, we will be giving away many prizes from Razer, Steelseries, Cryptozoic and more! Our own Michael Sacco will be manning the livecast microphone, talking with special guests, answering viewer questions and throwing in a few surprises of his own. Tomorrow, we will be back liveblogging and recapping the panels from Day 1. Remember, this is a west coast event so the opening ceremonies at 11 a.m. PDT won't be posted until 2 p.m. EDT on the site. In fact, since the opening ceremonies cover more than just World of Warcraft, we will be liveblogging it on the front page of our parent site, Joystiq, at 2 p.m. EDT/11 a.m. PDT tomorrow, so the Diablo 3 and StarCraft 2 fans can get all the latest news at the same time. We will, of course, be posting any big WoW announcements from the opening ceremonies here on WoW Insider and liveblogging the WoW panels here throughout the day. Whether you're in Anaheim or at home, check out WoW Insider throughout the day for the latest from BlizzCon 2010.%Gallery-104434% BlizzCon 2010 is upon us! WoW Insider has all the latest news and information. We're bringing you liveblogging of the WoW panels, interviews with WoW celebrities and attendees and of course, lots of pictures of people in costumes. It's all here at WoW Insider!
