I really wanted to make a special, seasonal, Winter Veil UI, but alas I ran out of time. Next year, maybe! If you made a special Winter Veil or other seasonal UI to pretty up your screen over the festive period, do send it in, I'd love to see it! Instead, we've got Palanorma's paladin UI, which he sent in in response to last week's column. He said in his email that it reminded him of his, and I can definitely see why. Palanorma included two screenshots, one not casting, and one casting. If you want to send in your UI, drop an email to olivia@wowinsider.com. Do let me know what addons you're using, and if you have any thoughts on elements of your UI that you're particularly proud of or unhappy with, do put that information in, too. Also, someone suggested a while back that we should run a UI surgery, where you send in a UI that you're unhappy with, and the community and I have a bash at fixing it for you. If that sounds like fun, or like it might help you, send in your UI!

We've received quite a few emails from developers who are providing you with special app pricing during WWDC 2010. Here's a roundup of some of the info we've received: Ubermind is selling Masque for US$1.99 until June 12. The app is an amazing photography tool for iPad. iOS4 devs should look into purchasing iMockups for iPad during WWDC. It's available for 30% off today (June 7), which is $6.99 instead of the usual $8.99. It's a nice mockup tool for apps. UK developer Michael Kaye couldn't make it to WWDC 2010, but he's celebrating by putting BabyBubbles on sale for $0.99, a huge discount from the usual $5.99 price. BabyBubbles is an innovative "baby logger" for new parents, and currently runs on iPhone and iPod touch. Michael says he'll keep the price at $0.99 until BabyBubbles HD appears. Developer Craig Caruso is selling his iLineup for iPad app at the special price of $0.99 this week only. The baseball / softball lineup card package usually sells for $1.99. Cameron Banga at 9Magnets let us know that their iOS device battery management tool Battery Go! will be free until Friday. The regular price is $2.99, so pick it up while you can. • iPad apps: creativity unleashed

We love to create things: drawings, movies, photos, songs, and, on occasion, stunning literary imagery with the help of text styling. While Apple didn't necessarily blow us away with its offerings on this front for the iPad (no GarageBand, iPhoto, or iMovie, for instance), 3rd party developers are naturally happy to oblige. We were frankly surprised at some of the depth and functionality we discovered in the App Store, but while what we have here is a nice start, we're even more curious to see what sort of creativity these developers can coax out us with a few months of iPad experience under their belts and a better handle on the strengths and weaknesses of the system. For the time being follow us after the break as we run you through some of our existing favorites. Not enough apps for you? Check out some of our other roundups!
