My Dearest, It is I, your Hatoful Boyfriend. I can contain my unbridled passion for you no longer. I must see you. And whereas before our love was previously separated by a seemingly uncrossable ocean called the Pacific, a company called Devolver Digital is partnering with an institution known as Mediatronic to make my trip from Japan to the United States of America possible. They'll say it's wrong - that human and pigeon should not lie together. But I don't care! I long to coo with you under barn roofs, skyscraper ledges, park benches and wherever a freshly-washed car needs soiling. And I promise to always provide whatever you need, be it a wing to hide under the rain or a steady supply of popcorn to keep you fat and healthy. Let us grow and develop a nest egg together. I arrive this summer. Love, Your Hatoful Boyfriend [Image: Devolver Digital]

  • Foul Play review: A midsummer night's demon

There's no health bar in Foul Play. That doesn't mean it's impossible to lose – Foul Play throws scores of enemies at demon hunter Baron Dashforth in round after round of high-velocity brawls, and they can overwhelm even the most experienced slayer. When this happens, the curtains close and the audience storms out, angry – Foul Play takes place on a stage, you see. It's a Vaudevillian beat-em-up about a play, and its plot revolves around demon-slaying and wild beat-downs. Instead of a health bar, a gauge measures the audience's reactions, with each hit you receive is marked as a blow on the meter (and probably your ego). Foul Play is a stylized mix of the art of South Park, the witty back-and-forth of Sherlock Holmes and the theatricality of Puppeteer, all layered on top of wonderful co-op brawling. Just be sure to pay attention to its credo: Always expect foul play.
