We're not entirely sure, but we think there are a few other Blu-ray movie releases this week that don't have "Die Hard" somewhere in their title. Seriously, this is like the greatest day ever for die-hard fans of Die Hard. (See what we did there?) Live Free or Die Hard The Die Hard Collection Hairspray The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause David Gilmour: Remember That Night Badder Santa: Unrated Die Hard Die Hard with a Vengeance Die Hard 2: Die Harder Pathfinder: Unrated Even if you're somehow not a fan of John McClane, there's not really much left over unless you like to see a foul-mouthed Santa, John Travolta in drag or even more exploitation of the poor, unfortunate Native Americans. Yippie ki-yay!

The rollercoaster ride that is the weekly Blu-ray releases continues its weekly rise and fall. After last week's impressive lineup of Pixar titles and several bargain bundles, we're not left with much for this week. Close Encounters of the Third Kind: 30th Anniversary Ultimate Edition Ocean's Eleven, Twelve & Thirteen Gift Set Ocean's Thirteen Africa: The Serengeti (IMAX) Dragon Ball Z: Broly Double Feature Alaska: Spirit of the Wild (IMAX) Antarctica: An Adventure of a Different Nature (IMAX) Australia: Land Beyond Time (IMAX) Prison Break: Season One Masters of Horror: Season One, Volume III Ultimate Force While the Oceans trilogy is decent and Close Encounters is better, we're more interested in Ultimate Force, which features the UFC's Croation Sensation Mirko "Crocop" Filipovic, in kinda the same way you watch NASCAR to see the fiery crashes. Judging from Crocop's last few UFC bouts, though, he may want to continue his acting career.

We're sure this is going to be a great week for PSP owners due to the release of several highly anticipated titles, including Silent Hill Origins and SOCOM: Tactical Strike, which Andrew gave a 9.5 and said was an easy candidate for the PSP's game of the year.US Games Silent Hill Origins SOCOM: Tactical Strike The Simpsons Game World Series of Poker 2008: Battle for the Bracelets EU Games Ben 10: Protector of Earth WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw 2008 Asia Games Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles Minna no Golf Ba Vol. 4 Namco Museum Vol. 2 NBA Live 08 Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology Xyanide Resurrection While there isn't a lot being released this week in Europe, Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 should be entertaining, and now Japan finally gets Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles, so they should be happy. Overall, this is a much better week than last week.

While last week's Blu-ray releases underwhelmed the majority of us, everyone should be pleased this week as we get several great Pixar titles, two new editions of Best of Blu-ray and even a few Blu-ray 4-packs. Ratatouille Cars Pixar Short Films Collection, Vol. 1 The Aviator Oldboy Beowulf & Grendel Best of Blu-ray: Action Best of Blu-ray: Family Blu-ray 4-Pack: Disney Movies Blu-ray 4-Pack: Action Movies Blu-ray 4-Pack: Family Movies The Best of Blu-ray: Action is probably the best of the bundles despite the inclusion of the hilariously awful Alexander Revisited: The Final Cut, but with the newer, gorier Troy Director's Cut, Wyatt Earp and Blood Diamond, you're getting some really great movies at a really great price of only $59.

Quickly scanning this week's Blu-ray releases, it's hard to notice anything but Spider-Man 3 or its trilogy, but if you're a tree-hugging hippie, you'll definitely be in for a treat. However, we're pretty excited to finally see Digital Video Essentials heading our way.

The horror-themed Blu-ray releases continue this week with a bevy of thrillers that should please any horror fan. Some may not like the decision to focus on the horror genre during the month of Halloween, but we're having a great time as some of the greatest horror movies have been released. Hollow Man: Director's Cut The Reaping The Invisible AC/DC: Live at Donington Return to House on Haunted Hill Masters of Horror: Season One, Volume I Masters of Horror: Season One, Volume II This week is arguably topped of with the director's cut of Hollow Man, but there's also AC/DC: Live at Donington thrown in, too. Some of you younger folks may not know, but AC/DC is one of the greatest rock bands of all time. You would make your father proud by picking it up and watching the greatest band to ever come out of Australia.

Now that we're entering the month of Halloween, we'll be seeing an influx of Blu-ray horror movies, and we can't be more excited. This week we're treated with vampires, zombies and psychotic killers, but if horror isn't your thing, you should be covered with A Room with a View and Galapagos. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Bram Stoker's Dracula The Day After Tomorrow Halloween Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn Dawn of the Dead Day of the Dead Galapagos A Room with a View Any time two George Romero and Sam Raimi classics are released in the same week, you know you're in heaven. Do yourself a favor and at least pick up Dawn of the Dead; it's the best zombie movie ever made.

Although this week we don't get quite the quantity or quality of Blu-ray releases that we did last week, we can relish in the fact that if you compiled bits and pieces from each movie, it could possibly make the most bad-ass movie of all time. Just imagine werewolves, cowboys and the Japanese doing battle against vampires, Nazis and Yankees as Halle Berry comes on screen to spout some nonsense and just looks pretty. You really can't get any better than that. Underworld: Unrated Black Book Memoirs of a Geisha Tekkonkinkreet The Wild Bunch Wyatt Earp Gods and Generals Gothika But if this week's releases don't satisfy you, just wait until next week when we're invaded by the undead – now that's something werewolves, vampires or Nazis just can't kill.
