Verizon rolls out unlimited messaging
Text addicts, rejoice: your plans have arrived. Verizon's unlimited messaging plans are now official, offering limitless text, picture, and video messaging to any carrier in the US on a wide variety of plans at the "America's Choice Select" level -- starting at $60 -- and above. Dovetails nicely with the release of the text-friendly u740 in black, does it not?[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]
Midnight Inbox v0.9.5
Since we first heard about it a month ago, Midnight Inbox has been improving by leaps and bounds. One only needs to check Midnight Beep Softwork's development blog to get updated on all the changes and improvements (far too many to thoroughly list here), but put simply: a lot of performance and stability improvements have been made and the UI has received a significant update. Midnight Beep has been keeping a very open ear to user feedback, and they have a lot of cool features coming down the pipeline, such as: iCal syncing, printing of hipster PDA cards, archiving, live filters and search, support for Quicksilver, Automator and AppleScript and of course - language localizations.For beating some heavier hitters to market with what is quite possibly the first true GTD app, Midnight Inbox certainly doesn't look too shabby, and neither does its $35 price tag. OmniPlan
Well, the cat's out of the bag folks. OmniPlan is the name of that now not-so-super-secret new piece of software from Omni Group. As the name oh-so-subtly suggests, OmniPlan does project planning, complete with Gant charts and whatever else you project planning people do. I'm not quite sure what all of the features do, as I have zero background in project planning, but it's sure pretty!OmniPlan has been in private beta for about a week, and a public beta will be released on Wednesday.
360 dashboard update to be ready by morning
The long awaited 360 dashboard update is finally coming, arriving by invite for most Stateside gamers sometime early tomorrow morning.The update will actually begin to go out by 2:00 AM PT, but, according to Major Nelson, it "can take up to four hours for a user to be prompted to receive this update," so the invitation to download the small-in-size (but large-in-scope) update could arrive as late as 6:00 AM PT.Patient gamers can look forward to 125 new features for their cream-colored Xboxes, including the ability to queue multiple Marketplace downloads, keep your place in DVDs, and even fast-forward to just the choicest parts of videos (like the one featuring the titular Tomb Raider above).
