  • Friends unite and take down psychos in Dead Rising 3

Capcom has confirmed online co-op will return for Dead Rising 3 when it launches this November on Xbox One. Protagonist Nick can be joined by big rig driver Dick (yes, Nick and Dick), and travel freely in Los Perdidos, together or independently. In past games, partners were limited to exploring the same sections together. All progress in co-op carries over to the single-player campaign, Capcom-Unity writes. If you join a friend who is further along in the story, and clear a chapter you haven't accessed in your single-player campaign yet, you'll have the option to skip it when you encounter it on your own later. That should prove handy when it comes to facing the game's returning "psychopath" bosses, this time based on the seven deadly sins. You know, like "sloth" and "bad checkpointing."

Even if you've seen Albert Hitchcock's Psycho before (and seriously, you should have) the Blu-ray edition arriving for its 50th Anniversary October 19 has a new trick up its sleeve in the form of a remastered 5.1 surround sound audio track. The original mono soundtrack is included for purists, but it certainly seems like the a due amount of effort was put in by Universal's BluWave Audio postproduction team and third party Audionamix, to create a discrete DTS HD 5.1 that would live up to the standards of a classic, and still light up the special lights on your receiver.

  • WoW Moviewatch: Warcraft Political Ad: Rend Blackhand '08

In case you haven't had your fill of political attack ads this year, check out this ad for Rend Blackhand '08 created by Gape/Horn Productions. This video, produced for an Orc who apparently wishes to overthrow Thrall, is a virtual Threat Down of everything wrong with Azeroth. PvP is terrorist activity. The Venture Company exploits our natural resources for profit. Trolls are illegal immigrants and Goblins benefit from the outsourcing of our jobs. And you won't even believe what he blames Blood Elves for. Although this video features some epic music (from Psycho, John Philip Sousa, The Right Stuff) and one of the most amusing knock-offs of Rosie the Riveter I've ever seen, the satire is only 50 percent effective. Gape does a good job of winding up but can't seem to throw the pitch over the plate when it comes to the final payoff at the end. I'm not sure if he loses his nerve or if he only had a half-formed idea, but I wish he'd gone for the jugular at the end instead of just quitting.[Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

See it? No, not the reflective surface or the bastardization of the Intel Inside logo on the back... the other modification to this stock iPhone. Right, that Apple logo is burning white a la your off-the-shelf MacBook. Amazingly, the trick is accomplished without any appreciable increase to the iPhone's waistline. You can take a chance with the Dutch machine-translation beyond the read link below or wait for the English text to be posted by iPhoneclub.nl later today. Regardless, be sure to check the video after the break. It's not like you'll be busting out the dremel to attempt this yourself anyway.Update: English text now available.[Via Nowhere Else]

  • Cooking Mama cooking tips and infomercial

It's no secret that many players found the Cooking Mama: Cook Off controls just a little frustrating. Instead of being a game that could highlight the further potential of the Wiimote, what we ended up getting at a whopping $50 price tag (for what really should have been a budget title) was a game which highlighted Wiimote issues. Some who don't fear the Nintendo Defense Force might even have defined these issues as "problems." This made Mama angry and you wouldn't like Mama when she's angry. So, Majesco came out with some tips on how to improve your Cooking Mama: Cook Off experience: For rolling truffles, place the Wii Remote flat in the palm of your hand, as if it's the truffle. Once in your hand, roll the Wii Remote in your hand as if it's the truffle. For egg cracking, hold the Wii Remote up in the air vertically and bring it down as if there is an invisible bowl in front of you. To grind meat, hold the Wii Remote horizontally in your hand and make the crank motion as if there is a meat grinder in front of you. For stirring, hold the Wii Remote upside down and stir as if it's a spoon. To flip items in the frying pan, flick your wrist as you would with a real pan. Three flips consecutively will earn you bonus points. Cracking 3 eggs with only one initial attempt will earn you bonus points. In certain recipes, you can turn the heat up or down on the stove before the direction reaches the line. After the break we have an "infomercial" perfect for late-night viewing. We don't even feel the need to say anything about it, but the simple fact that we put it after the break probably tells you something ... watch if you dare.
