Q-bert Rebooted offers the original, 2D Q-bert plus a 3D, upgraded version with more than 30 new levels. Q-bert Rebooted comes from Gonzo Games and Sideline Amusements, licensed from IP holder Sony Pictures Entertainment, Polygon reports. The updated game includes variant Q-bert characters such as the Q-zilla and Q-nicorn. Q-bert Rebooted is due to launch for $5 on July 8 on Steam for PC, Mac and Linux, and later on Android and iOS. Update: Q-bert Rebooted isn't confirmed for PS4 or Vita, or any other consoles for that matter, Gonzo Games developer Robert van Gool tells Joystiq. The studios are still negotiating console contracts. [Image: Sideline Amusements]

Sony Pictures Television just announced a bunch of upcoming mobile games for iPhone/iPod Touch and other mobile platforms, including Q*Bert, Angels & Demons, and Voltron. But the most notable release, if only because it makes the joke in our headline work, is an iPhone/Touch Ghostbusters game to be released in June.According to the press release, the game allows players to "catch ghosts and save citizens from being slimed as you make your way through the big city." The June release date, which coincides with the console Ghostbusters games, suggests that it will be similar in design to one of them -- probably either the DS or Wii game. Also potentially cool: Top Agent, a multiplayer James Bond game for iPhone to be released in August.[Via Electricpig]

Playstation 3 owners will have something other than Virtua Fighter 5 to choose from this week as Sony will be releasing two new titles for their online service and a relic from the past in demo form. The long awaited aquatic enigma FlOw will be making its way to the Playstation Network with a price tag of $7.99. Joining it will be the perpetually-hopping, foul mouthed, not to mention terrible roommate known as Q-Bert. We may not have anything nice to say about the guy, but his game is a classic and will be available for $4.99. And in case you passed it up at launch, a free demo of Ridge Racer 7 will be made available and capable of that magical resolution of 1080p.

Retro Blast recently ran a contest to make gaming version of those ever-so-popular motivational posters. They have yet to decide on a winner, so now is the perfect time to check out the entire gallery of nearly 360 entries and decide for yourself the rightful heir to the champion's throne. Beyond Challenge (pictured), we'd opt for either Loyalty or @#!$@!. Our only regret is that these image files have small resolutions; there are more than a few we wouldn't mind hanging on a wall.
