More PixelJunk games coming this year
After the release of PixelJunk Racers, indie developer Q-games seems to have reloaded their casual game arsenal with at least two more titles up their sleeves. On the mildly confusing PixelJunk website, you can find a couple of teaser screen shots with release dates. An unnamed game that looks much like Tower Defense (screen shot above) is slated for November of this year.Another nameless game that looks much stranger and much more difficult to describe has a date of December of this year. Q-Games set sights on PS3 with casual titles
Is this news freshy-fresh? It almost sounds stale, but perhaps those crazy dreams are to blame... in any case, Q-Games' own Dylan Cuthbert revealed in the newest issue of Famitsu their proposed PlayStation Network title PixelJunk. It's more like titles, since its planned to be a series of casual games. What Joystiq scanned are a few early shots of some of the games/stages and you know what? It looks odd. Odd pixelized junk, kind of like all of those really old games that came standard on most PCs -- Skiing, etc. That's what comes to mind when checking out these scans. What do you think? Is this the kind of stuff we want on the PSN, or would we rather something different?[via Joystiq]
Q-Games' PixelJunk, as seen in Famitsu
This week's issue of Weekly Famitsu has an interview with Dylan Cuthbert of Kyoto-based developer Q-Games. The double-page spread reveals Q-Games' latest project, PixelJunk, which is being designed as a series of "casual games" for download from the PS3's PlayStation Store. We've taken some shots of the first PixelJunk images, as seen on the pages Famitsu, for your perusal. Pictured are three titles in the very early stages of development, including what looks like a static-screen top-down racer and another game that has Lemmingsy overtones. Q-Games is in talks with SCEA to bring PixelJunk to the West. %Gallery-2390%
Spoileriffic Star Fox screens
Siliconera is all about some Star Fox Command now that they've gotten their hands on screens of the various endings. The images don't seem too obvious with the spoilers, but check at your own risk -- you've been warned. The game is scheduled to hit the U.S. soon, so if you're the type who wants to see nothing of the ending until you get there, then you don't have long to wait. For the rest of us, who like the pretty, pretty pictures, have at it!
