Another cog has been added to the LittleBigPlanet this week: a website, which should help to get the potentially massive ball of kinetic users rolling after the game's "big bang" this October. For now, "LittleBigPlanet News" predictably functions as a hype machine, luring in audiences with that adorable SackBoy and his widget full of stickers (visitors can actually customize the background of the site with an extremely modest sampling of the game's content). The welcome message reveals that, eventually, the LBP site will "evolve into something much bigger and better to support our community of Players, Creators and Sharers." And who might those important sounding folk be? Why, you of course! Remember: The fate of this little, er, big? planet is in your hands. (Cue ominous music.)

The God of War himself will soon find himself under new employment as Super Awesome Sackboy Superstar. The official US PlayStation blog has revealed that there are plans for five separate LittleBigPlanet pre-order bonuses in North America, depending upon where you reserve the game (a key detail that has yet to be revealed). Here are the bonuses: The Official "LittleBigPlanet Creator" MiniGuide by Brady Games A LittleBigStickerBook, which is -- shocker -- a sticker book LittleBigPouch, a burlap sack reportedly big enough to at least fit a copy of LBP An exclusive Nariko (of Heavenly Sword fame) SackGirl Exclusive Kratos (God of War) SackBoy Sure, the exclusive SackPeople are nice, but we're willing to bet those will eventually arrive as premium downloadable content or recreated/shared via the LBP community. We'll take two pre-orders for the decidedly more tangible LittleBigPouch, wherever that reserve bonus may end up.[Via PS3 Fanboy]

When it was first announced that LittleBigPlanet's Sackboy would be going fisticuffs with all manner of textile-based baddies, we were perplexed as to how these throwdowns would be executed. After all, Sackboy doesn't exactly look like a fearsome opponent -- though we suppose the same could be said for overweight plumbers, oddly-hued rodents, and most other 2D platforming superstars. However, this recent gameplay clip from Media Molecule shows off how everyone's favorite ambulatory sack will tussle with one of the game's bosses -- by using a moving platform to bounce his own exploding barrels back at him. It looks pretty fun, though not incredibly deep. Perhaps that's a good thing -- if bosses can be this simple, will we perhaps be able to create our own? We'll have to wait until October to find out.[Via PS3F]

var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/playstation/LittleBigPlanet_on_story_mode_adult_content_sackboy_dolls'; Media Molecule's Mark Healey has given our friends at PS3 Fanboy quite the news-splosion. In the latest PS Nation podcast, Healey let loose on LittleBigPlanet details, including: There's "a whole heap" of levels that come with the game. "They are strung together in the form of a story," said Healey. "A very loose story, but incredibly funny at certain points." You can make private levels and give keys to friends. In terms of riskier, user-made content, Healey said there is a post-grievance system involving sending screenshots to the powers that be. He declined further on what that might mean for the sure-fire controversial level, LittleBigPenis. Sackboy plushies confirmed! Said SCEA PR Brandon, "It's on the way. Details will be emerging shortly." PlayStation Eye support confirmed. "For example," said Heley, "you can wear a cardboard box and put a sticker of yourself there. And presto, you have a little creepy version of yourself walking around in the game. So yes, you can absolutely do that." The full audio interview can be found in tomorrow's PS Nation podcast, but for now, you can check out a text transcript of the highlights.%Gallery-1943%

We admit it -- we developed a crush on Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet from the first time we laid eyes on its texture-rich world. Ever since its GDC '07 unveiling, we've been fiending for more information on this Go! Team-infused gem -- yesterday's Sony Gamers' Day did not disappoint in that respect, bringing us three new LBP video previews (look for our writeup from the event soon). The video above features the game's PlayStation Eye functionality, the other two (embedded after the break) feature some nuances of the character creation system and the recently revealed "danger" system. It will be ours. Oh yes, it will be ours.

SACKBOY LIVES!This adorable real world recreation of LittleBigPlanet has us swooning with incredible joy. Our hearts are fluttering at the thought of being able to grab one of these for ourselves.Unfortunately, these aren't commercially available. Why? Because it was made by the mother of a Media Molecule staffer. Completely unfair.[Thanks, John!]
