What we're watching: It seems like the Pistons are always on the edge this season? They're in it deep tonight, down 3-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals with the Heat coming to the Palace for Game 5. Also up for tonight, a new(?) episode of the apparently-canceled Freddie, and the outgoing Commander in Chief. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: The Western Conference finals continue as the Dallas Mavericks look to even up things against the Suns at 8:30 p.m. on TNT-HD. Otherwise, it's slim pickings tonight with a jumble of reruns and movies. You can check out Freaky Friday on ABC or Mona Lisa Smile on Fox, but we'll keep the clicker stuck between NBA and NHL playoff action tonight, no matter how sweaty it gets. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Lost, Lost, Lost. We'd say maybe this is the episode where we get some answers, but we all know better than to expect that from this show by now. Anyway, check out the recap at 8 p.m. and the two hour season finale at 9 (hopefully it will actually be in HD, but with ABC apparently you never know). Also wrapping up tonight is American Idol, so you may have a fight on your hands for the remote during the one hour overlap of the two. On TNT best friends and former teammates Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki face off to decide who will represent the Western Conference in the NBA Finals this year, tip-off is 8:30 p.m.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

If you follow our daily HDTV Listings (or just watch television, whatever works), you know that most network programs are coming to their seasonal end. This leaves us to the summer doldrums of reality shows, repeats and made for TV movies. That said, what are you planning to watch this summer? Unfortunately, your choices may be very limited.

Warner just likes surprising people, announcing that they will be releasing three new HD DVD movies June 6, including one day-and-date with the DVD release, Harrison Ford's Firewall. The other two movies are Constantine and The Perfect Storm, which will list at $28.99. Firewall will be the second hybrid HD DVD/DVD disc after Rumor Has It (thanks WiFiSpy) and cost $39.99. Their HD DVD release plan must make sense to someone, but since you can't even pre-order them from Amazon.com or queue some of them on Netflix just a week before release, it will be hard for potential customers to keep up.[Updated price of Firewall, combo disc]

What we're watching: Only one season finale tonight, as House ends their season with a bang, literally. The Eastern Conference finals are here, and it's the same teams as last year, Detroit vs. Miami. They went all seven games last season, what will it take to get to the finals this year?On ABC Stephen King's Desperation takes center stage, maybe this will be better than every other Stephen King adaptation (except Misery)...maybe not. The miniseries 10.5 Apocalypse also comes to an end on NBC, but we may give WB's Pepper Dennis another look at 9 p.m.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

Alias surprises us with a move to Monday for a two hour Rambaldi-revealing series finale. 24 also puts a two hour season finale on deck, accompanied by King of Queens, Two and a Half Men, the last two episodes of New Adventures of Old Christine and CSI: Miami. Not to be forgotten are the ongoing NHL playoffs, as well as two NBA Game 7s. We finally find out who will be going to the conference finals and who will be going home with Mavericks vs. Spurs at 8 p.m. followed by Suns vs. Clippers at 10:30. What we're watching: No basketball tonight, so we'll get our superhuman acts of derring-do the old fashioned way, superheroes. HBO-HD features a back to back of Spiderman 2 and the excellent Batman Begins. Prior to that we can check out the Preakness Stakes on NBC and afterwards Saturday Night Live featuring musical guest Nelly Furtado. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Plenty of season finales tonight, and two championship teams trying to avoid just that. The NBA championship contenders of last year, Spurs & Pistons, are both trying to stave off elimination and force a deciding Game 7 against the Mavericks and Cavaliers. The seasons that we know are ending tonight belong to Close to Home, Numb3rs and a two-hour block of Conviction series finale. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Finales, finales, finales. Three hours of Grey's Anatomy tonight, two of them new. After last night's episode if you're a fan of the series this is a must-see. Prison Break completes its second season (it only feels like it's been on forever) with the long awaited escape, while How I Met Your Mother, One on One, All of Us and Half & Half wrap things up for the year as well. We were all "witnesses" to the Cavaliers surprising Game 3 victory over the pistons, but with a guaranSheed Pistons win tonight, there's not much sense in tuning in until Spurs-Mavericks at 10:30 p.m.After all that, I highly recommend Discovery Channel's documentary Shipbreakers if you haven't seen it already, and there's also some show called 24...Update: The re-air of last night's Grey's is apparently going to air after President Bush speaks, so you may want to put an extra hafl hour or hour on the DVR in case the finale does not start on time. Prison Break and 24 are both listed as being bumped 20 minutes, no word on the other networks. Also don't forget that Presidential Address' can often be a good opportunity to see the difference between the HD broadcast of each major network.[Thanks for the heads up James!] Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Just making sure everyone is aware, two of our high definition mainstays, My Name is Earl and The Office are doing things a bit differently tonight for their season finales. Instead of slotting a rerun in the place of the now-departed Four Kings, Will & Grace, Earl and Office will all be 40 minutes long, shifting the start time earlier by ten minutes for the latter two. Please adjust your DVRs -- and your lives -- accordingly. Also ending their season tonight are Smallville, Everybody Hates Chris, Love Inc., Eve and Cuts. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: More new Alias / Lost / Invasion, although the biggest mystery may be how Miami got blown out by the Nets the other night. We'll see if they can repeat tonight at 8 p.m. on TNT. Fans of The Bedford Diaries can look forward to a two-hour season finale tonight while on Discovery they have Ice Cube's (wrong O'Shea) Big Adventure. Also could someone do me a favor, Starz schedule indicates their only high definition programming will be Hidalgo, and that they will be airing The Bourne Supremacy in prime time in standard definition. I honestly can't believe thats true, but it's what the schedule says. Since I won't be home to watch it myself, can someone flip over and tell us what sort of 480i miscegenation is going on here? Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Close only counts in hoseshoes, so despite a narrow loss or a blowout, the Mavericks and Cavaliers are both down 1-0 in their second-round matchups, they'll try to get back on track tonight on TNT-HD. If you feel like being scared silly in a ripped-from-the-headlines drama, Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America should be good to keep you inside for weeks. Also new tonight are back-to-back episodes of The Unit, and season finales for Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Prison Break and 24 are on and in action tonight, notable because they might finally break out of prison (how can  a show called Prison Break not actually have a break out yet? That would be as though they called Lost "Found") and on 24 the President may shoot down a jet just to kill Jack Bauer (impossible). On TNT we have second round action kicking off between the Clippers/Suns and Nets/Heat so you know what you're getting there. The X-factor tonight is street magician/stuntman/demonically possessed David Blaine's attempt to break the world record for holding his breath underwater on ABC. We'll go out on a limb and say there's some sort of trick to it. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: NBA Playoffs second round matchups are finally upon us. Spurs vs. Mavericks is going on now while the Pistons take on Lebron & the Cavaliers at 3:30 on ABC. NHL Playoffs have hit round dos as well with Anaheim and Colorado dropping the puck at 3 on NBC. Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy continue their usual Sunday night scheduling but we'll probably catch Team America: World Police on Showtime. No NASCAR, Malcolm or War at Home today for Fox so no HD whatsoever. Why can't we get 720p King of the Hill? Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

Also not to be missed is the Kentucky Derby at 5 p.m. or Tom Hanks on a new Saturday Night Live, but when the game is on you know where to be.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: We are all witnesses etc. etc. LeBron showed off in Game 5, now it's put up or shut up time for the Wizards and Kings tonight on ESPN. Win and force a deciding Game 7 or have fun picking out those hip waders because it's time to go fishing. However, we may also tune into World Extreme Cagefighting: Cinco de Mayhem on HDNET, with a name like that its got to be good.Reba fans, (all three of you), tonight is the season finale. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.
