One Shots: Amarrian history
We've seen battles, stations, ships, and even some funny signs, but this is one of the first times someone has captured statuary in New Eden and sent it in to us. Now as to what a statue is doing floating around, we'll turn to today's EVE Online contributor, Xaan Debunk, who writes in: "In this picture I captured a huge statue just floating in space while I [was] doing a mission. You don't get to see too many vistas like this one in EVE, so I thought I'd take a screenshot. Apparently it's an ancient Amarrian ruin called the Amarrian Holy Dome. It is completely broken off from the other parts of what I assume were once a space station." Have you found something interesting we haven't seen here in your favorite MMO? One Shots: Do the wings make it better?
It seems like no matter where we turn, the buzz lately has been on Aion. A goodly chunk of the Massively staff has been sucked into the beta and they're reporting interesting things. Others we talk to aren't so thrilled, but are reserving judgment until they see something closer to release. Even our normal Darkfall contributor and fellow MMO blogger, Paragus, decided to send in a screenshot for us with his thoughts since he's a member of the press and not under NDA. He writes: After playing the Aion Beta Weekend, I find myself marveling at how stunning some of the graphics and character models are. In some games scenes like this are hard to come by, but they seem to be the norm in Aion. We'll have to see if everyone is as thrilled as launch gets closer. Remember, if you're in a beta - make sure you're not breaking NDA when you're sending in One Shots! Otherwise, they'll likely sit there for quite some time before I'm able to post them. When Heroes get the call that the Clockwork is up to something nefarious in King's Row, they show up en masse to help out. What would bring so many various Heroes together in City of Heroes? The Clockwork's Paladin! Adventurous heroes who take down the Paladin before it is built land the Knight Errant badge. (A few of us just got ours, which is where this particular screenshot comes from!) Have you done anything particularly heroic or villainous in your favorite game recently?
