Arcade classic 'Sea Wolf' resurfaces on iPhone
One of video gaming's earliest hits has returned as an iOS game. Sea Wolf, a 1976 arcade game by Midway, has been updated for release on the App Store by Coastal Amusements, based on its own arcade revival. In the transition, the graphics for the submarine combat simulator have been subject to obvious improvements, but the awesome periscope interface has been sacrificed to portability.That said, the full game is only $1.99 (a lite version is also available), so if you want to go buy a toy periscope and figure out a way to attach it to your iPhone to play this, your investment is still going to be pretty low.
Square Enix reveals all of Final Fantasy XIV's races and clans
Square Enix has revealed detailed information about the five new "clans" found within the races of Eorzea, the realm in which upcoming MMO Final Fantasy XIV will take place. Clans offer up two slightly different character options within the five overall race choices -- for example, if you want to play as a burly Roegadyn, you can go with the paler and more subdued "Sea Wolf" fisherman clan, or heat things up with the rock-and-fire influenced "Hellsguard" clan. Information on all of the races and clans is now available on Square Enix's website. Unfortunately for Final Fantasy fans, we looked through the whole list of clans, and not a single one of the races lets you become a Sith Warrior. Not quite a set - Typhoon
We've looked at a couple of the Tier 2 look-a-like sets in the past (the Green Wrath and Purple Judgement sets for those keeping score at home) and I felt it was time to continue. Maybe it's just me, but I really like when my armor set LOOKS complete. My shammy is currently striding about Shattrath in his Tidefury set, and I've had quite a few nice comments on the character's overall look. So, if you're as strangely obsessed with completing a look as I am, I hope you'll find these articles on non-set sets appealing. If you prefer gear with the best stats over looks, you may not be getting that here.This time around, I'm looking at a Shaman healing set, which happens to mimic the look of the Ten Storms tier 2 set. The graphics really don't do it justice, as you'll actually get little bolts of lightning playing around the shoulders and head when you put this gear on. As everything in the set has a slightly nautical naming convention, and the colors give off a deep-sea kinda vibe, I am now dubbing this set "Typhoon". Feel free to spread that around, folks.
