While it is wide-known fact that many Bothans died trying to get their hands on blue prints for the Death Star, another lesser-known Twi'lek named Rianna Saren and her droid Zeeo also attempted to acquire them.Set in the timeframe between episode III and IV, Star Wars: Lethal Alliance is already known to feature some form of multiplayer (cross your fingers for Wi-Fi) and familiar faces from the universe such as Darth Vader and Kyle Katarn. The folks at Ubisoft have not revealed any more information on the game, however as tightly as they closed their fist, several screenshots slipped through their fingers over to IGN.

  • Mimoco announces Star Wars-themed Mimobot flash drives

Designer flash drive company (really) Mimoco has brought a more familiar face to its line of Mimobot flash drives, announcing a Darth Vader USB stick -- with more Star Wars characters to follow -- each limited to 2,500 to 3,500 units. Darth here's available in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB varieties, ranging in price from $79.95 to $169.95 -- a bit of a premium over your standard flash drive, sure, but what price can you put on having the dark side of the force guarding your data? (Yeah, we know -- sorry about that one.) While the remaining three Star Wars characters have yet to be announced, Mimoco's giving you a chance to win 'em all if you can guess them correctly, though we somehow doubt that our favorite fish-faced leader Admiral Ackbar will be among them.

Last night, Stephen Colbert announced the winner of his Green Screen Challenge. The champion entry was "Freedom Fighter," a video game where Colbert had to save patriotic eagles from the evil bullets of Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Continue reading for the winning video, as well as a runner-up that struck a chord in our hearts. While not on YouTube, we suggest you check out this video (.mov file) from "George L." It's a great idea, but pretty amateurish in execution, if you ask us.

Georgie didn't forgot about all the Star War/high-def nut over in the UK. Sky HD has worked out an arrangement with LucasFilm to allow all six episodes to be shown via the provider. There isn't any announcement of when or where but you know, who cares? All that matters is all of our peeps over the UK, that is with Sky HD, will be able to check out one of the best movie sagas in high definition just like us here in the States. But we are sure you would like to know when the films are coming so you can plan your day around the 15 hours of George Lucas goodness and we will let you know as soon as we find out.

  • Batman to LEGO brick consoles everywhere

With the release of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy being close enough for us to start using words like "imminent" and "impending," it's hard not to "imagine" the possibilities brought on by the next franchise selected for LEGO-fication. CVG reports that the world's greatest detective has been chosen by Traveller's Tales to star in the next instalment of the lighthearted series. Following in the square footsteps of the Star Wars games, Batman's blocky adventure is sure to be an amusing parody of everything we've come to know about the caped crusader, Gotham City and its noticeably deranged inhabitants. "Where does he get those wonderful toys?"If you'll recall, it was just last month that Jonathan Smith of Traveller's Tales confirmed that more LEGO games were in the works. Congratulations to Joystiq commenter 32_Footsteps for correctly pinning Batman as the next victim of geometric simplification. We'd dole out some sort of prize, but we think having Batman busting blockheads and battling a juxtaposed Joker is reward enough.

  • Star Wars: Lethal Alliance Q&A

Gamespot sat down with Star Wars: Lethal Alliance's lead producer, Bertrand Helias, to grill him about the newest Star Wars game. Okay first off, we read this... GS: Star Wars characters in video games have a way of "discovering" latent Force powers. Can we expect Rianna to bust out a lightsaber or Force lightning at some point? BH: No, this game won't have any lightsabers... ... and thought "what?! No lightsabers? No way! It can't be done." Patience though... BH: ...Our Twi'lek is not a Jedi and the Force won't be with her. She is a mercenary; therefore she acts more like Han Solo than Luke Skywalker. Okay that's acceptable, right? While it is a little disappointing, Han Solo-like qualities are appealing. Other than the whole no lightsabers for you, young padawan ordeal, Helias did talk a little about how the two versions of the game will vary. Both DS and PSP will feature multiplayer but in the DS version you can only play Droid vs. Droid while those Sony freaks get to play as Twi'lek vs. Twi'lek. Other things that were brought up in the interview included the introduction of both old and new environments, familiar faces that will be seen and how the young mercenary fights alongside her droid to complete missions.
