click to enlarge It won't be long now. Despite a short delay into the far-off month of July (or: "next month"), Telltale's episodic adaptation of Strong Bad – delicately titled Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People – will be opening mail on WiiWare and PC shortly. To get you in the mood, Telltale just dropped a handful of new screens along with a new gameplay video on our doorstep (seriously, just left it there). What we'd really like for you to check out is the "tech demo" showing off the game's incredible engine. Series creators Matt and Mike Chapman write that their "engine is about 98% finished" but they're still having "some trouble with the fence physics or 'phensics' as they say in the gaming industry." It's true, the phensics don't look quite right ... %Gallery-24933%

Kotaku posted the unfortunate news that Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, the WiiWare adventure game based on the bizarre Flash cartoon series (in case you somehow made it onto the Internet without passing through Free Country USA), has been delayed until July. Telltale Games confirmed the delay on their forums, with staffer "Jake" saying "We moved the launch of the season (less than a month) to make the game better."Telltale assured the unreasonably angry posters in the forum that once the game does launch, the company will stick to scheduled releases of new episodes. And we can wait for the first one, as long as it comes out before 20X6.%Gallery-20307%[Thanks, fco!]

Hey there, pretty people -- you might be interested in hearing the latest news about Telltale's upcoming WiiWare series, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. As for the rest of you uglies, just movie on -- there's nothing to see here. (If you're perusing Wii Fanboy, you're clearly hot stuff, so don't worry and read on.)Telltale reports that the first episode of the game, titled "Homestar Ruiner," centers around Strong Bad's desire to pummel Homestar Runner. He then decides that the best way to beat his rival would be to defeat him in the tri-annual Race to the End of the Race. You can check out the video of "Homestar Ruiner" above, although it doesn't show too much gameplay. Occasionally, it looks like you have to choose something from a thought bubble in order to progress the story, but often there's only one item to choose from. Joystiq did report that the demo for SBCG4AP was pretty linear, but hopefully the episode in its entirety will have more to offer. We've also added some new game screens to our gallery, which feature some beloved characters from the Homestar Runner-verse, so be sure to check them out.%Gallery-20307%[Via press release; also, thanks fco!]

In an interview with our crew over at Joystiq, TellTale's marketing spokesperson Emily Morganti told them that the currently PC and Wii exclusive Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People (SBCGFAP) and its episodic content could release to the XBLA "maybe down the line." Morganti went on to say that they'd "like to be on all of these [XBLA and PSN] at some point" and that "they're all great platforms for episodic content", but that "WiiWare just happens to be the one we're venturing onto first." So, she's saying there's a chance. And now we leave you with the too cool for words SBCGFAP trailer, because it's just too cool for words. Enjoy.

We know that the main Homestar Runner cast will make appearances in Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People. We can also assume that everyone's favorite man/dragonman/just a dragon will show up as well. But it's not just about Homestar and the Strongs. What else from the Homestarniverse do you want to see in the episodic adventure? Il Cartographer? Dangeresque? Stinko Man 20X6? Would it even be possible to endure a game featuring Senor Cardgage, the creepiest coolest guy we know? We're hoping for a visit from Mr. Shmallow -- look lively! -- or his descendants Marshie and Gel-arshie (who is an abomination, and is coming to your house after school!) That would be SO GOOD!

Wow, we never thought we'd be writing about Strong Bad twice in one week on a Wii blog. Yet, Telltale finally announced their oh-so-secret WiiWare game, which will feature everyone's favorite Homestar Runner mascot. Titled Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, this series will consist of five episodes that will come out on a monthly basis. (As it turns out, the "actual gameplay footage" at the end of the Strong Bad Gameways video is actual gameplay footage!)Like Sam & Max, this game will be in the adventure genre, involving humor, puzzles, and point-and-click goodness. Telltale has also added some neat time-wasting extras, like checking Strong Bad's emails, making prank phone calls, and playing arcade games styled after the ones on Homestar Runner's site.Between bringing this and Sam & Max to the Wii, we're so in love with Telltale right now. If you're excited, too, make sure to check out the official webpage for SBCG4AP, which just went live (and has a gameplay trailer!).(Note: Sorry for the delay in putting this news up; we were waiting for Telltale to release assets for the game first, to make this post as thorough as possible.)%Gallery-20307%[Via press release; also, thanks to everyone who sent this in!]
