Let's face it: Supervillains are almost always more interesting than heroes. Give us The Joker, Lex Luthor, or Deadpool any day of the week, and we're happy geeks. So to design a supervillain in Champions Online that will actually go into the game seems like a dream come true. Cryptic is hosting a Design-a-Villain contest in which players can whip up some fearsome foes of their very own. The top five submissions will make it into the game in the form of Alerts villains whom everyone will fight. The top villain will be used in a 10-man Alert, while the others will be relegated to other roles in the future. Any players, including free ones, may participate. To do so, you'll need to make an outfit for the villain in the Champions' costume creator, then come up with a name, backstory, power set, and minion type. Bring your best game, for you may only enter twice. [Thanks to The Grand Nagus for the tip!]

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake is a great match for the PSP. The game's structure, its very nature, means it can be segmented in a very effective way on a handheld platform -- a quick match during your morning subway ride or while taking a break from work is when Fistful of Cake works best. [Note: Be sure to check out our video preview, as well. We spent all night slaving over a hot stove to bake it just the way you like it!] %Gallery-83725%

  • Fat Princess bulks up on content for PSP debut

The portable version of Sony's PSN-exclusive darling, Fat Princess, was being demoed by the publisher at yesterday's PSP holiday showcase and looked ... just like the console version. We asked Sony what would set the game apart from its console counterpart -- other than the fact that it's on PSP -- and were enthusiastically told, "It'll feature 50 percent more content!"Okay, that's very nice, but also very vague. So, we of course asked for more details and learned that the game will have a variety of modes not found in the PS3 release, including one where the class hat generators are busted at the beginning of the match and must be repaired using resources before they can be used.Another mode removes the princess from the equation and has players delivering something to their opponents' castle rather than removing it -- a bomb. Sony calls this portable version of the game "Fat Princess 1.5," saying that it also has an expanded single-player component, a new map and the aforementioned new modes (plus some). If there's anything this franchise stresses, it's that "more is better."

  • The Daily Grind: Pick a genre, any genre

For today's edition of The Daily Grind, we thought we'd ask you what you were looking for in your next big MMO? Are you one of the many for whom fantasy is the universe you want to escape into? Or are you looking for something new? I know many of us were sad to see Perpetual's title Gods and Heroes get shelved, as Historical MMOs are definitely a cool concept. Personally, I have to admit, I'm hoping someone will eventually option someone like Phillip K. Dick or William Gibson and we'll see a strong cyberpunk MMO in the Sci-Fi genre. How about you? If you had your pick of any genre that you'd like to see some new MMOs in, what would you pick? Would you like to be a dark elf, or a civil war soldier? Take the poll, leave your thoughts, and let's see what you all want. What genre do you want to see more MMOs in? Fantasy Horror War Sci-Fi Historical Puzzle Sports Super-hero Real-life Something else you didn't list (comment below please) Free polls from Pollhost.com
