HTC Vive owners can finally face the void in 'Adr1ft'
It may be a few months late, but the day is finally here: Adr1ft, Adam Orth's VR orbital survival simulator, is now available for the HTC Vive. The Oculus Rift launch exclusive was originally planned to launch on SteamVR back in May, but was delayed to build an experience unique to the HTC Vive and its motion controllers. The wait may have been worth it -- the game's creator says Vive's motion controls have changed the game in dramatic and unexpected ways.
Experience tragedy above Earth in 'Adr1ft' next week on PS4
Adr1ft, the allegorical game about surviving in orbit after a space-station accident, makes its way to PlayStation 4 next week. Previously it was available on VR platforms like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, so it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch that we'll see it land on PlayStation VR this fall as well. Not a PlayStation or PC owner? The Xbox store lists Adrift for a September 16th release date.
Orbital survival simulator 'Adr1ft' floats to Vive in May
Folks who (digitally) lined up to buy the HTC Vive have another game to add to their wishlist: Adr1ft. Publisher 505 Games announced today that the game inspired by its creator's Twitter freakout will hit HTC and Valve's room-scale VR platform this May for $20. It's already available for Oculus Rift and has been confirmed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, albeit in non-VR form.
