Big Surf Island adds 15 events, 10 freeburn challenges to Burnout Paradise
With Cops and Robbers out of the way, Criterion is free to finish up the last of the announced Burnout Paradise premium DLC -- Big Surf Island. This is the first new locale to be introduced into the ever-evolving racing game, and it'll add 15 events and 10 online freeburn challenges to the game. Criterion is promising big air for the expansion, and completionists will want to look for all 45 Billboards hidden on the island. For comparison purposes, the original game featured 120 events and 350 freeburn challenges.These early details come courtesy of an early look at the DLC's Trophies. (Check out the new Trophies after the break.) One particularly intriguing achievement involves getting a whopping 4.5 seconds of air time in a single jump. Who needs Burnout Planes when you have massive jumps like that?Our very own Randy Nelson got some hands-on time with the DLC pack, but he can't report on the details quite yet. Trophies not coming to Street Fighter II HD Remix
Looks like your 2D hadouken skills won't be (virtually) rewarded. Capcom's not planning on patching Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix any time soon. In fact, Capcom's John Diamonon told PlayStation.Blog readers that "trophies were never promised for SFHD and aren't going to be implemented."Well, looks like we're crossing that off our Trophy Portal. Upcoming PAIN expansion features wedgies, aliens and Trophies
Looks like PSN's #1 game of 2008 is getting yet another expansion. The next expansion, "Sore Spots," will add two environments: the Morningwood High School gymnasium and the alien-infested Area 69. The expansions will also introduce a few new modes, such as the "Fun With Explosives" inspired "PAIN Science" mode.The official PAIN blog features more details on the upcoming expansion, but we've taken a peek at the new Trophies for the upcoming expansion. Killzone 2 DLC adds 12 new Trophies
The upcoming "Steel and Titanium" DLC pack for Killzone 2 will also add 12 new Trophies to the game, all Bronze. Two two maps will feature six Trophies each, encouraging players to utilize all the various classes and tactics available in multiplayer. To check out the new Trophies, click past the break. SingStar 3.01 update goes live tomorrow, adds Trophies, voice control
Looks like it's time to pick up SingStar again. A free 3.01 patch will be made available for all PS3 versions of SingStar, adding Trophy support and a new voice control feature that lets you select songs using vocal commands -- no need to pick up a controller!
