  • More fan-created Phoenix Wright: Ace Apparel

We're slowly gathering entries for our yet-to-be-announced Phoenix Wright Shirt Makers' Club. These elite crafters have decided to express their fandom for Capcom's graphic adventure series and its characters in the most reverent way they know: by giving Phoenix Wright a place of honor on the front of a t-shirt. The latest, from reader Maxy, goes beyond the limitations of home crafting. Maxy's sister has access to professional apparel-printing machinery at a uniform company, and transferred this iconic image of Phoenix on what looks like a 3/4 sleeve baseball shirt. Maya Fey, as pictured on the Gyakuten Saiban boxart, appears on the back. It's kind of unfair that we can't follow Maxy's example and make one of these! It may be unfair enough to warrant an OBJECTION! No, it's just kind of unfair.

  • The 70's called, they want their Valhalla back

The Bungie Store hopped into their (Microsoft paid for) time machine and traveled to the 1970's to learn about disco, big hair, and the artistic design. Then, they jumped back into their time machine, made a rest stop in 1992 for some Crystal Pepsi, and arrived back in 2007 to offer up a new 70's inspired tshirt. The tshirt is none other the Valhalla Tee with what the description calls Barracuda Fastback stripes and enough retro style to make you one cool cat. It is $16.95, but how can you put a pricetag on something that is so studly and took so much time travel research to create?

Considering the amount of remixes Mims' hit rap single "This is Why I'm Hot" set off -- R. Kelly's "This is Why I'm Cold," the NBA's "The Phoenix Suns Are Hot," and Chubbs' "This is Why I'm Fat" for example -- we're surprised that it took this long for its catchy hook to reach video gaming's catch-phrase-hungry communities. Mirroring Mims' insipid lyrics, the simplicity of SnorgTees' shirt design leaves no room for confusion on its message or the company's plans to rake in crazy money by exploiting our nostalgia-addled minds. We can imagine the office congratulations and "props" received by the young designer who paired the 8-bit fire flower with the narcissistic mantra. They all agree, this is why he's hot. The $16.95 shirt comes in royal blue and black, its lowercase Myriad Pro text staying chalky white on both colors. If you haven't heard the song several hundred times already, you have the option of checking past the post break for an embedded music video of the club track.

  • DIY pixel art T-shirts

Here's a cute art project for a lazy afternoon: Do-it-yourself pixel art shirts. HackerZen has all the instructions on how to make your own pixel art clothing for those of us without silkscreen contraptions. The project does seem a little bit involved, but if you've got a kid to keep occupied for a full afternoon, here's a good option. We're keen on the Mario shirt, but anything 8-bit is easily possible. It's amazing what you can find in a modern crafts store. There must be an iron-on thing where you can fill in what you want and do the same thing ... although, acrylic paint definitely has better staying power than an iron-on. If this art project seems a little bit too involved, might we suggest the simpler and less artistically taxing game clocks.[Via DSFanboy]

The title is imperative for a reason. Seriously, you should either be working on a t-shirt right now or headed out to Michaels to pick up supplies. Oh, or reading this post. That's totally fine.To make this Princess Peach shirt, HackerZen user Lenore adapted the technique used by a very faithful reader to make his Phoenix Wright shirt, adding the extra step of drawing a grid on the shirt with a washable marker, then filling in pixels to make a big sprite. Excellent. But don't just default to Mario. There are a lot of sprites out there. Get creative![Via GoNintendo]

  • Wearing gamer pride on your sleeve

Looking for a new way to show your WoW gamer pride? How about a t-shirt! Lfnotter of Beasthold graphics wrote in telling WoW Insider about their CafePress store featuring WoW themed t-shirts after reading Krystalle's recent post on WoW-themed crafts and toys. My personal favorite is the one pictured. How could you not like a Murloc stew shirt? Currently there are only a few graphics available, but they promise more are coming, and no doubt they will be as cute as these. I know I am considering picking up one or two for BlizzCon gear. Have a Warcraft-related project you'd like to let people know about? Let us know! [via lfnotter]

Mark Newton and his coworkers at Gamestop received this "We're Building an Armii" shirt from their store's Nintendo representative, making sure to post a photo of their spoils for us to envy over with aching hearts. Thanks a lot, guys. Thanks for NOTHING.We're not sure which war Nintendo plans on shipping these Miis to, but just how useful would these guys be in any combat situation? Playing Wii Sports: Tennis is one thing, but keeping your cool while you're under fire and your buddy next to you is filled with shrapnel, begging you to take him home and make things alright again like they were before, is another. March two klicks past the post break for a closer look at the shirt swag.

  • Kanji Dragon blows through Akihabara

Sunday came and went, taking with it our hopes of ever meeting Kanji Dragon's martial artist. The kung-fu character posed for a few shots at Success Corp's Akihabara event over the weekend, hyping the kanji-training action title. Just looking at the photos and all the fun we missed out on feels like getting crane-kicked right in the heart.Though we didn't get to attend the soiree, it certainly wasn't from lack of trying. We stuffed our Pokemon backpacks with dozens of DS and GBA games, our favorite G.I. Joes, and a plastic baggie loaded with Pringles (these were crushed into little flaky bits before we even zipped our Squirtle bags shut) before heading out to hitchhike a ride to Japan, but we didn't even make it past two blocks before the police picked us up and drove us home. Our parents were pissed. Hissatsu Kung Fu: Kanji Dragon DVDs containing all of the game's promotional videos, including an unreleased action clip, were passed out to attendees. Peek past the post break for another exciting image from the event and a look at the multicolored shirts that were given to those who preordered the title. You might also see us hugging our knees in the corner, sniffling and trying to pretend like we just didn't spend all afternoon crying.

We're well aware that the gaming press couldn't care less about Hissatsu Kung Fu: Kanji Dragon; interest for a kanji-training beat 'em up is niche at best, and to be honest, this whole kung fu theatre advertising push is a bit silly. But are we going to let that stop us from inundating you with every single scrap of Kanji Dragon news that we come across? Of course not!Success Corp. will be celebrating the educational brawler's June 7th release with a special event this Sunday at Akihabara's Sofmap amusement complex. Attendees will be able to play the game and will even receive a limited edition T-shirt if they pre-order a copy. The title's fumbling mascot will also be making an appearance, handing out Kanji Dragon Director's Cut DVDs. Make sure to check past the post break for a larger version of the disc's explosive cover. To say we're disheartened by the fact that we won't be able to attend is an understatement. We wept bitter tears as we read the press release's jumbled Google translation, yelling out in grief when we learned that we'd miss out on free souvenirs. Rod Stewart poignantly sang "So Far Away" as a montage of us drowning our sorrows with too many drinks and loose women played right before fading to black.

One huge benefit to being invited to a video game industry event is the free swag one receives. And there is no exception for those who were lucky enough to attend either the New York or San Francisco Halo 3 beta press event. Everyone who attended the beta party received the spiffy tshirt showcased above in all its Spartan Man Cannon glory. Are we jealous? Yes. Will we be contacting Joystiq to see if they want to give us their tshirts? Definitely. But if all else fails we'll just have to suck it up and get our eBay search on.[Via Digg]

Pictured above is "The Leftover," the winning design by Budi Satria Kwan, which was selected from over over 155 designs.Big Daddys: for $15 the shirt can be yours in a variety of sizes; Little Sisters: you need to pay extra for the girly tee. Don't like the winning submission? Really hoping "Drilled!" would have won? Cool down, you can work off that frustration come August.[Via X3F]

Today, Threadless revealed the winner of the Threadless Loves Bioshock tshirt design contest. And even though our Dead Sucker design didn't win, we think the winning design entitled The Leftover is very cool. It properly showcases the somber and disturbing Bioshock feel, but at the same time making it subtle and not so in your face. Support not only the designer (who got paid for the design), but promote Bioshock love across the land for only $15. Don't be cheap, buy one today!

This Zelda shirt, cleverly called Born to High-Rule, offers a look at a rarely-discussed part of the Zelda mythology: the birth of Link, rendered here in a stylized graphic. If we ever wore a shirt featuring a widdle baby Link, it would probably be this one. Even if there were some other ones.We like the details that make up the background: the hearts, hookshot, and other Zelda doodads. We especially like that the boomerang is complimented by an eminently boomerangable Keese, just like it always should be.[Via Wonderland]

Keeping track of all the Wii t-shirts being sold on the internet can be tough. Whenever we try to wade through our bookmarks to pick one out, it feels like we're drowning in a sea of outdated pages and bad puns.OMG Tees has listed over a dozen of the best Wii-related apparel, providing photos, descriptions, and information on where to buy them. We've featured the Beatles and custom Mii designs before, but some of collected shirts (like the Bruce Wii one shown above) have managed to escape our attention until now. Would you actually dole out cash for any of these shirts? Or are you more like us, always putting it off and telling yourself that you'll buy one as soon as you have a little more extra cash laying around?

Nintendo recently held a fashion show at their Nintendo World Store in NYC, where gamers displayed clothing items for sale in the store, as well as fanmade creations. We've developed a new classification system for Nintendo fandom based on this event and the accompanying photo gallery: People who play Nintendo games People who wear Nintendo t-shirts People who make their own Nintendo t-shirts People who model those t-shirts at Nintendo events We personally fall into level 3 of the Nintendo Fanboyism T-Shirt Scale. We think it's a pretty good measure of fandom, although it doesn't take into account the whole "working for a website called Wii Fanboy and writing about Nintendo all day" thing. Hmm.[Via GoNintendo]

This weird-looking t-shirt with the phrase "NO MORE HEROES" was spotted in Japan recently. Just from looking at the shirt, we have no idea if it's related to the Wii game, but the 4cr poster who purchased it seemed to think so, indicating that it is part of a line of No More Heroes shirts. We'd like to see the full line of these shirts; we'd be unlikely to purchase this one, but we really like the idea of having some No More Heroes memorabilia. Suda 51's games and his company Grasshopper Manufacture's website prove that they are capable of remarkable stylishness. Check their shop for some amazing stuff that doesn't look like it was designed by a video game company. Of course, the store is for Japan only, but go and gawk anyway.

With the opening bar of the third verse in his debut single "Juicy," Biggie prioritized a young male's desires, putting video games at the top of his (now fulfilled) wish list. The words resonated with youth everywhere; even with those who might not otherwise identify with the Brooklyn-bred 'Bad Boy.' Admit it, you've rapped along to the words..."Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis,When I was dead broke, man I couldn't picture this 50-inch screen, money green leather sofa..."KarmaLoop.com pays homage to these rhymes with a pricey ($29) concept tee.

Insanely Great Tees, who we've mentioned before and dearly love here at TUAW, has announced two new shipping shirts from that batch we all voted on. The "I'm a Mac" and "Binary Tree" (both $17) are ready to ship and keep you clothed, just in time for Macworld 07! I was personally hoping for the "cmd + s the whales" and "Vector G" shirts as well, but hey, I'll take what I can get.

First came the snapping straps, then the secret replacements, which were upstaged by the proliferation of fake wiinjuries and the class action lawsuit. It's funny that it's all become stupid in record internet time. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt. Yup, we've got T-shirts already! At this rate the life cycle of this story will end within a couple weeks -- only to be resurrected by the mainstream media in, um, let's say two months. We'll talk about this all again at that time when ... oh heck, you guys make up the rest. What's the mainstream story going to be like? Get all FOX news creative on us.

As a service to readers of this blog, we're going to begin reminding you to watch Paul Robertson's frekinetic (yup, just made that word right up) Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006 daily. Every morning, you'll get a nice, friendly reminder to watch it NOW and bask in its glee-filled depravity. Not a good idea? Alright, we'll settle for wearing this awesome t-shirt. Sure, they're a little pricey -- alright, they're really pricey -- but you'll be part of an elite club of savvy benefactors. If you have no idea what I'm talking about (poor, poor fool) then check out the embedded video after the break ... but I warn you! You'll hunger for the video game counterpart daily. You'll question your faith, stop eating properly, scribble drawings on your walls, and wear this t-shirt, waiting for this little Pinocchio of an animation to become a real boy.
