It's officially springtime in the Northern Hemisphere, so I'm starting to go out into the garden to admire the first flowers of spring. For Shawn "Doc Rock" Boyd, it's always springtime in Hawaii. Today we're going to get together -- virtually -- and co-host TUAW TV Live, although weather probably won't be a topic of discussion. Maybe weather apps? Who knows... As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM EDT (2 PM PDT / 10 PM BST) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the fun starts. To join in on the chat and watch the live streaming video, drop by TUAW about five minutes before the start time to get your instructions on how to participate. If you're unable to join us for the show, remember that you can always subscribe to the video podcast and watch the show at your leisure in iTunes or any other favorite podcatching app. The past shows are also available on the TUAW YouTube channel. The chat is on IRC: join us on server chat1.ustream.tv, chat room #tuaw-tv.

Welcome back for another hour of TUAW TV Live madness. Today, my guest in our virtual asylum is none other than TUAW Talkcast "host with the most" Mike Rose. I'm sure we're going to have some interesting things to talk about, like the controversial hiring of Adobe CTO Kevin Lynch to join Apple as the new VP of Technology. Below, you'll find a Ustream livestream viewer and a chat tool. The chat tool allows you to participate by asking questions or making comments. You'll be watching the show in glorious HD! If you're driving somewhere and would like to watch TUAW TV Live while you're stuck in traffic, please don't -- keep your eyes on the road! However, if someone else is doing the driving, you can watch the show on your iPhone and join the chat by downloading the free Ustream App. It's a universal app and is wonderful on an iPad, both for viewing and participating in the chat. In addition, the live stream and chat will be available through our Facebook page. Just point your browser here to watch the show and chat with other viewers while you're on Facebook. Remember that the chat is also available on IRC server chat1.ustream.tv, chat room #tuaw-tv. We'll start at about 5 PM ET, so if you're seeing a prerecorded show, be sure to refresh your browser until you see the live stream. For those of you who are not able to join us for the live edition, you'll be able to view it later this evening on our TUAW Video YouTube channel and as part of the TUAW TV Live podcast viewable in iTunes or on any of your Apple devices.

I'm back from a week of fun in the sun, and that means that since it's Wednesday, I'll be back in the captain's chair for TUAW TV Live. Last week, Doc was at the helm, steering the SS TUAW TV away from the rocky shoals of technical issues and into the calm waters of Mac tools and tips. While I was away, it appears that a cargo ship dropped off a hefty load of new Apple accessories to look at, so I'll be discussing some of those goodies along with chatting about anything that happens to come up. As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM EDT (2 PM PDT / 10 PM BST) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the show starts. To join in on the chat and watch the live streaming video, drop by TUAW about five minutes before the start time to get your instructions on how to participate. What's with all of the "Bs" in the headline? Hell, I don't know. It's just a way to get my thoughts somewhat organized for the show. Looking around the TUAW TV Studio, I have a nice 13-inch laptop bag, a non-surprising assortment of iPhone cases, a book about Apple and a number of other things that I can chat about. To top it off, there's always my experimentation over this last week to figure out what was going on with Ustream during the last episode. Below, you'll find a Ustream livestream viewer and a chat tool. The chat tool allows you to participate by asking questions or making comments. IRC fans can join in on the chat by heading to server chat1.ustream.tv, chatroom #tuaw-tv. You'll be watching the show in glorious HD! Well, after last week's technical issues with the show, I believe that everything will work perfectly today. Why? Well, based on Doc Rock's input, I have a new WiFi router that should handle the streaming traffic with no problem. I have changed the settings for the upload to reduce the bandwidth requirements a bit. And most importantly, Bionic Barb is not working from home this week and clogging our precious bandwidth with VPN traffic. My good buddy Randy Nelson won't be able to join me this week, so if he's the "bad luck Brian" who has been causing my Ustream woes, that should be another check mark in the plus column. (Just kidding, Randy, I love having you on the show!) As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM EST (2 PM PST / 10 PM GMT) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the demos start. To join in on the chat and watch the live streaming video, drop by TUAW about five minutes before the start time to get your instructions on how to participate. Today's going to be another "flying solo" episode of TUAW TV Live. My potential guest is still suffering from some viral crud or another, so I thought that we'd do another unboxing-fest to take a look at some great new Apple accessories and talk about apps. In case you're wondering about that headline, it's because I'm proud to say that my formerly messy desktop has been spiffed up to the point that it's actually presentable. I'll talk a little bit about my experiences with the iPad mini, which I'm finding to be a very cool device, and also talk about a place where you can buy all of those Kickstarter products you never backed. As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM EST (2 PM PST / 10 PM GMT) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the demos start. To join in on the chat and watch the live streaming video, drop by TUAW about five minutes before the start time to get your instructions on how to participate. Welcome back to TUAW TV Live! Today's show is going to give you a look at some new products; we'll delve into some of my favorite new apps; and we'll also engage in the endless conversation in the chat room. No guests are visiting this week so I can see if Skype is causing some of the streaming issues I've been running into, but Ruby the Internet Famous Cat may decide to grace the show with her feline presence. Below, you'll find a Ustream livestream viewer and a chat tool. The chat tool allows you to participate by asking questions or making comments. After a bunch of TUAW TV Live episodes featuring various buddies Skyped into my machine, I've decided to do a solo gig this week. I'm not sure if Skype is what has been causing some of the issues that have occurred recently, but this might be a good way to do a little bit of troubleshooting while having a whole lot of fun. Believe it or not, I have some unboxing to do, so you'll get to see some new toys. There are a few new favorite apps I want to show off as well, so be prepared for demo time! And as always, I will be responding to the insanity of the chat room. As usual, I'll be starting the show at 5 PM EST (2 PM PST / 10 PM GMT) sharp, and we'll take a few minutes to chat before the demos start. We're back from Macworld/iWorld 2013, most of us are rested up from the nonstop interviewing/walking/partying merry-go-round we were on for three or four days, and I've even managed to come back from the trip without a cold or flu (so far). CES 2013 is a memory now, but for those in the Apple world we have a big event coming up in just two weeks -- Macworld/iWorld 2013 in San Francisco. For those of you who won't be able to make it to San Francisco's Moscone Center West this year to join us, we'll have plenty of coverage. Today on the show, my guest and fellow TUAW blogger Mike Schramm will join me to talk about what he saw at CES and what we should expect at Macworld/iWorld. The last few days at the Sande household have been hectic, what with Bionic Barb getting hit with a stomach virus, our Internet service providing dial-up modem speeds for several days, what appeared to be a faulty AirPort Extreme Base Station and some other hardware that's apparently gone bad. It's also that time of year when a lot of people start thinking about changing their lives for the better, so on today's TUAW TV Live we'll chat about resolutions and how quickly they are usually broken -- and how some apps can help you keep improving your life.
