Holiday light warriors will want to hear about this Kickstarter campaign for a more permanent light solution that can be hung just once, then controlled with an app to adjust lights all year long for special events. And in case you can't get enough light news, you'll also want to see this LED clutch that's on Kickstarter now. It comes with a host of potential pixel art in its app and is ready for you to take on the town.

An Australian stunt rider rigged a dirtbike to surf the ocean and the video is pretty astounding. And while you wait for Microsoft's HoloLens, you can make a DIY hologram display with little more than a CD jewel case. Doesn't everyone have about 20 of them in the corners of cabinets, no matter how many you swear you've recycled?

Have you been getting a kick out of Coachella's jams and arts in Indio, California? Or, did you decide to peacefully enjoy it from home via YouTube's site? Either way, you may have heard Tupac made an on-stage holographic appearance over the weekend, performing Hail Mary and 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted alongside Snoop Dogg. Tupac's hologram was made possible by AV Concepts in partnership with Dr. Dre's production company and Digital Domain, after reportedly working on the project for a few months. The outfits used a display technology dubbed "Eyeliner" that, with the help of a custom rig and a mechanical solution, was able to shoot out a life-sized, 3D illusion of Mr. Shakur onto the Coachella platform. Don't believe us? Hit 'em up at the source below, though we feel compelled to tell you language isn't exactly for all ages.

Comprising approximately 3.22% of DJ Hero's 93-song list of tracks, Cut Chemist and J.Period were announced today as joining the enormous list of artists contributing to the game. According to an emailed press release from Activision, J.Period will be creating two "exclusive" new mixes for the game, Q-Tip's "Good Thang" vs. Billy Squier's "Big Beat" (as seen above) and Gang Starr's "Just to Get a Rep" vs. Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones, Part 2." Elusively, Activision says Cut Chemist will be offering "a mix featuring unreleased music from one of the biggest bands in the world." The publisher didn't offer word on whether or not that's a confirmation of the JoBro "Burnin' up" vs. Tupac's "All Eyez on Me" mash-up we've been hoping for, unfortunately.%Gallery-64592%

Now that we've introduced our Mii Spotlight feature and its star-studded cast, we're just about ready to get this party started -- this gangsta party that is. Before we start gettin' low and backing our things up though, don't forget that we're still on the lookout for new and exciting Miis! If you have any that you'd like to share, especially if they're music-themed like this week's collection is going to be, take a few pics and send them to mii at nintendowiifanboy dot com.So what's the rapper to non-rapper ratio in your Mii Plaza? On my console, it's an easy 3:1. I created most of the hip-hop cartoon figures out of boredom, but there's a number that were produced for the specific purpose of motivating other Miis to throw their hands in the air, waving them as if they didn't have a care in the world. Jump past the post break for some of my favorite rapping Miis and submissions from our own talented readers!
