LG's Chocolate just got a little sweeter, with the recent addition of HSDPA to that fantastic flip phone. The U830, its new designation, is loaded up with all sorts of other tasty treats, including 185MB of storage, a 2 megapixel shooter, stereo Bluetooth, three hours of talk time, 300 hours of standby time, and a music player (with 3.5mm headphones included!) -- all of this is pretty much what we'd seen rumored a few months ago. It'll first exclusively hit Hutchinson's 3 network in the UK, but we've got no further information as to when (or if) it'll be crossing the pond.[Via AVING]

We hope you're not preparing for this to be a specced out monster of a cellphone, but for those longing for a Chocolate flip phone that may be a little (ok, a lot) too reminiscent of the KRZR, look no further than the Black Sapphire MG810 (aka VX8600, and U830). It'll apparently have a 1.3 megapixel camera, 176 x 220 internal display (and 96x 96 external), media player that supports MP3 and AAC, Bluetooth, FM radio, 128MB of flash memory, and GRPS. Still, she's ah so beautiful. According to our Brazilian pal who sent this in, they snuck it right out underneath our ever lovin' noses and apparently put it on sale in South America for 999 Brazil Reais (or about $465 US). Steep, for a phone that doesn't appear to have EDGE or expandable media, but you're not paying for features here, remember?[Thanks, Gustavo]

  • Is this thing the VX9900? And that one the VX8600?

We know Verizon's The V (formerly known as the VX9800) has its fair share of fans (and detractors), but we're hoping they nailed it on the second go with their rumored VX9900; though the image here may be craptastic, it definitely does look to be a bit of an improvement and even takes a few notes from the gone-but-not-forgotten Ixi Ogo. Oh, and supposedly that Chocolate flip U830 is pictured here as the VX8600, so it's all coming together.

  • LG's U830: the Chocolate flip phone?

It looks somewhere between a RAZR and an Ultra Edition, supposedly has a 2 megapixel camera, 200MB internal flash, and Bluetooth: it's supposedly the U830, LG's latest flip which they're showing at IFA. If we're on the right track then perhaps this might turn out to be the fabled Chocolate flip phone of yore. Then again, maybe it won't be, but it's still half decent looking to catch our eye even despite that turbo crappy photo.
