  • We're a little worried about Kiki Kai World

The first real screens of Kiki Kai World-- as in, not screens of the cancelled Kiki KaiKai 2-- have been released, with the new character sprites. Since we're not heavily invested in the Kiki KaiKai universe, we couldn't care less that the characters look a little different. The gorgeous high-resolution 2D art and brilliant colors make us very happy that this game exists. The NeoGAF audience seems to be less impressed with these shots than the previous Kiki KaiKai 2 stuff (mostly for technical reasons: the images are resized and there's a bit of JPG artifacting), but we still like them. What doesn't make us happy, however, is that Gamespot labels Kiki Kai World as a PS2 game only. And, to make things worse, publisher UFO Interactive only shows the PS2 version as "Coming Soon" on their website, with no mention of the Wii version at all. We may have just posted screens that have nothing to do with the Wii! We posted them out of faith. [Via NeoGAF]

  • OMG: could this rumor be true?

The answer is yes. We have no reason to doubt the prescient Gamefly, and we have absolutely no reason to doubt the existence of more minigame collections. According to the rental service, a new game called O.M.G. -- Our Mini Games 26 is being published by UFO Interactive, for an October 25 release. No idea what any of the games will be like, but if they're as cute as the title, we might be on board. Finally, the DS has its answer to WTF on the PSP, LOL on the Dreamcast, and AFKBRB... oh, that last one wasn't a game title. We were making a sandwich-- sorry about that.[Via Siliconera]

  • Devilish coming to the US after basically FOREVER

Only two years after the Japanese release date, and sixteen years after the original Game Gear release, Devilish: Ball Bounder has an American publisher.Devilish is a Breakout-style game with complex level design, and, well, devilish trappings. UFO Interactive has it listed for a US release in "Summer 2007", though EBGames says the 17th of this month. It may not matter when the thing is coming out, because apparently it's far less than perfect. Being the rabid Arkanoid fans we are, we're still intrigued, although Devilish lacks touchscreen control and we always used the analog controller for Arkanoid.

Last year we ran a brief series entitled "That should be on XBLA." In that series we suggested that the arcade classic shooter, Raiden, would be a perfect fit for the service. At the time, we never imagined a full blown sequel would ever arrive on the Xbox 360. Lo and behold: Raiden IV is coming to the Xbox 360. The news comes from a Team Fremont interview with Chong Ahn, product manager for UFO Interactive. UFO Interactive's website, incidentally, doesn't even have an Xbox 360 section. Ahn notes that it has not be decided whether Raiden IV will be a retail product or an Xbox Live Arcade release.First Ikaruga and now Raiden IV? What did we poor fanboys ever do to deserve this?[Via 1UP]
