Well Fed Buff serves up tasty dishes to boost your HP, stats and appetite – with that special WoW twist, of course. We're crispy. That's not an indictment of our cooking skill – no-no, Well Fed Buff writers definitely have the (Dirge's Kickin' Chimaerok) chops to pull off some tasty stat boosts. No, the problem here is the beautiful springtime weather. After months of gaming indoors, it's almost inevitable that WoW players will at some point surrender to the siren call of the sunshine – ending up pink (if not actually crispy), sweaty and ready to ... well, to chill out. Since springtime also gets us feeling just a wee bit silly, we thought it only appropriate to chill out with an icy-cold WoW-themed Cherry Grog. Yeah, we know that grog is traditionally made with boiling water – but we're going to offer you ideas for both hot and cold versions. And before the comments get besieged: If you're below level 21 or are acting as the Designated Raid Driver, You do not meet the level requirements for this item. Get some levels, guys, and come back when you're attuned.

Well Fed Buff serves up tasty dishes to boost your HP, stats and appetite – with that special WoW twist, of course. Spring is in the air and it's time to start thinking about grilling. For this week's Well Fed Buff, we get to enjoy Charred Bear Kabobs. In World of Warcraft, these tasty delights restore 1933 health over 27 seconds. Charred Bear Kabobs require level forty-five, and if you spend at least 10 seconds eating you will become well fed and gain 24 attack power for 15 min. The recipe can be purchased from Malygen in Felwood. Real life kabobs are a tasty way to express your creativity. Sadly, I was unable to find any Bear Flanks in Las Vegas on short notice. I had to opt for pork loin. It seemed a reasonable substitute. Kabobs are a relatively simple way for fantastic Sunday afternoon bar-b-que dishes, and well worth the effort for a weeknight meal. Impress your friends with fantastic treats that pair perfectly with your World of Warcraft adventures. Have fun whipping up some or our delicious snacks, meals, and beverages.

Well Fed Buff serves up tasty dishes to boost your HP, stats and appetite – with that special WoW twist, of course. In World of Warcraft Mok'Nathal Shortribs restores 7500 health over 30 seconds. If you spend at least 10 seconds eating you will become affected by a well-fed buff that grants you 20 Stamina and Spirit for 30 min. The real life version bears a striking resemblance to beer braised short ribs and seems to reduce stamina, but maybe that was the Guinness. As with most tender meats, this recipe is more about patience than precision. Plan on about three and a half hours total for the completion of this dish. Since baking takes up most of the time, it's the perfect time to get a couple of Alterac Valley runs in. Read on for the recipe for this delightful dish.

Well Fed Buff serves up tasty dishes to boost your HP, stats and appetite – with that special WoW twist, of course. Skinners will recognize Shadowmoon Valley's Oronok Torn-heart as that cool guy by all the boars who'll buy your greys, sell you water, repair your gear and even give you a hefty heal when your hit points run low. Questers will recognize Oronok as "the tuber guy." Today's Well Fed Buff combines both convenience and tubers in a dish that's easy, tasty and provides a hefty +vitamin buff. This is one of those dishes that turns out exponentially more delicious than the amount of time you spent on it deserves. If you can chop a few potatoes and shake stuff around in a bag, you can cook these tubers. It's like the quest: kinda easy, kinda cheesy and moves you along down the road with a nice buff at the end!

Every Thursday, Well Fed Buff serves up the tastiest dishes to boost your HP and stats, just in time for your weekend gaming. When I first saw Deep Fried Plantains drop from a mob, I immediately thought to myself: banana-cue! Pronounced 'banana queue', as in "barbecue" or "I wanna queue up at the Battlemaster," this simple delicacy is a popular street food in the Philippines, usually skewered with sticks made from bamboo. Kind of like banana kebabs. They're really simple to prepare... probably the simplest of all Well Fed Buffs so far, so even those who have a low cooking skill should be able to prepare them. You can use this recipe to raise your cooking skill, so you can tackle more complex recipes like Winter's Veil Bark or Dragonbreath Chili. The mats: A bunch of Banana Charms 2-3 cups of Copper Powder (more or less. cooking banana cue Deep Fried Plantains isn't rocket science) A Bubbling Cauldron A Flask of Oil A few more instructions and gratuitous pictures after the jump.

Every Thursday, Well Fed Buff will be serving up the tastiest dishes to boost your HP and stats, just in time for your weekend gaming. In honor of the impending Spring season, and the traveling Darkmoon Faire, this week's Well Fed Buff will feature an improved version of [Fizzy Faire Drink "Classic"]. Don't worry, we won't be going anywhere near 'New Fizzy Faire Drinks'. The Improved Fizzy Faire Drinks can be prepared in a variety of styles and flavors, with fun colors and yummy garnishes. As such, several different combinations will be featured, and their mysterious buffs revealed. In fact, I wanted to create a purple and green float as a symbol of the Darkmoon Faire, but all my local grocery store offered would have made a grape-mint combination. If any brave souls try this, or can snag lime instead of mint, send us a screenshot! If you're curious, and itching to start off the ice cream season a little early, hop on through the break.

Every Thursday, Well Fed Buff will be serving up the tastiest dishes to boost your HP and stats, just in time for your weekend gaming. Hands down, the best recipe in all of World of Warcraft is Savory Deviate Delight. I will hear no arguments or opinions on this. I decided to try making it for dinner. I don't know what happened. All of a sudden there was a loud "Yaaarrr!" And my friend turned into a pirate in a puff of smoke. It was absolutely incredible. Your results may vary. Savory Deviate Delight is always in demand. It can turn players into a Human pirate or a ninja for an hour. It doesn't really benefit the player in anyway, but who wouldn't want to be a pirate or a ninja. The Savory Deviate Delight Recipe randomly drops in the Barrens. The materials for the in-game version are Deviate Fish which can be caught in pools in the Barrens Oases and Mild Spices which can be purchased from cooking and trade vendors. Wowhead lists auction house buyout prices of 36 gold for the recipe and 63 silver for the individual consumables. The real-life version is somewhat more complicated than the in-game rendition. Read on for my Savory Deviate Delight recipe. Get it while it's hot!

Well Fed Buff serves up tasty dishes to boost your HP, stats and appetite – with that special WoW twist, of course. True confessions time: I'm a stat foods freak. My priest was one of the first in our guild to make a habit of munching on Sagefish Delight and Golden Fish Sticks, before it became the standard for raiders to show up with stacks of the stuff. I'm the same way IRL – yes, I'm that mom who turns good ol' macaroni and cheese into a stat-boosting frenzy of organic pasta and cheese, vegetables and even salmon. (And yes, the kids love it!) So it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that the last time I was flipping through my recipes in game, I recognized a familiar-sounding way to sweeten up fish for the family dinner table. If fishy-tasting fish is, well, too fishy for your taste ... if you're always up for adding more fruits and veggies to your diet ... and when it comes to cooking complicated dinners, if you'd rather be gaming ... Try the Fisherman's Feast.

Welcome to this week's installment of Well Fed Buff. When the weather gets cold nothing hits the spot like Dragonbreath Chili. This recipe can be acquired from vendors in Dustwallow Marsh or Desolace and requires 200 skill in Cooking to create. For ten minutes after eating, the consumer occasionally belches a cone of flame. The effects of the real version are much longer lasting, but just as deadly. Patience is the key to the perfect pot of Dragonbreath Chili. Well Sriracha is actually the key, but patience comes in handy. Be prepared to wait at least three hours for this recipe to come to fruition, and keep in mind that it is even better the next day. These instructions makes enough chili to feed a horde of Horde (or Alliance). and are guaranteed to warm you from the outside in... and then some.

Well Fed Buff serves up tasty snacks to boost your HP and stats, just in time for your weekend gaming. "How does a Tauren hide in a cherry tree? He paints his hooves red!" Three Very Important Notes™ about this week's gaming snack: Yeah, we know that's not a cherry in the photo, and yeah, we know that the colors of the finished product are actually the opposite of a Tauren's painted toenails. It's called artistic license. /gkick me. You really need to try this one out on your significant other for Valentine's Day (which is oh-so-coincidentally right around the corner) ... especially if your S.O. is not always pleased with the amount of time you spend logged in, and especially if you explain that you made these yourself from a recipe on a WoW blog. Trust me – this trumps the generic Box of Chocolates by a long shot. Fresh fruit is good for you. Dark chocolate is good for you. Who says gamers have to be Cheetos-munching chumps? Decadent, delectable deliciousness ... Romance incarnate ... All tied up in a package that's downright healthy ... Read on for the whole package, after the break.

Every Thursday, Well Fed Buff serves up tasty dishes to boost your HP and stats, just in time for your weekend gaming. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned – and hips hath no padding like those gained from Maiev's Grudge. This decadent dessert is truly epic in content: powdered sugar, melted butter, graham crackers, semi-sweet chocolate ... demonic possession, jealousy and revenge (trust me, you want to be sure anyone in aggro range is disarmed or silenced if there's any doubt as to loot rules for this dessert) ... Maiev's Grudge has it all. Before we take a look at the no-bake combine itself, I'd like to point you over to Elizabeth Wachowski's cheeky Know Your Lore post about Maiev Shadowsong. Once you've witnessed the scope of Maiev's reckless disregard for calories the greater good, you'll understand why GRaham crackers plus fUDGE adds up to Maiev's Grudge.

Every Thursday, Well Fed Buff will be serving up the tastiest dishes to boost your HP and stats, just in time for your weekend gaming. Winter Veil is over for the year, but it's still frosty outside – and everyone wants something to make 'em feel as warm and cozy as a bedbug in an Ironforge inn. Reader Lenny sent us his solution, in the form of a Warcraft-inspired drink he concocted on New Year's Eve. Sideways Snowman ¾ shot Hpnotiq® ¾ shot vanilla vodka Sprite® Over half a glass of ice, add 3/4 shot of Hpnotiq® and 3/4 shot of vanilla vodka. Stir a bit, and pour in Sprite® to fill. Lenny advises us that you can leave the Sideways Snowman relatively unstirred for a stronger effect as you drink it down, or mix it thoroughly for a more consistent flavor. Either way, we think this sounds worthy of a Winterspring frost! [Thanks, Lenny!]

Every Thursday, Well Fed Buff will be serving up the tastiest dishes to boost your HP and stats, just in time for your weekend gaming. Caf'd Macaroni and Cheese may look suspiciously inedible; but when are we other-worldly adventurers ever put off by things like mere appearances? We're stronger than that! We crave the fluorescent brown. Why? Because sometimes gamers are up half the night and could use a boost to increase alertness. Caf'd Marcaroni and Cheese will fulfill your needs for caffeine, extra cheese, food, and of course, the "this was made in a pot in a shady inn by a dwarf or perhaps orc" look and feel. Why consume several things when you can get it all in one? More on this 8-minute snack, doable in the microwave, ahead! I promise, it does not taste like brown.

Every Thursday, Well Fed Buff will be serving up the tastiest dishes to boost your HP and stats, just in time for your weekend gaming. Night Dragon's Breath Dip was first discovered in Felwood. Dwarves, beware: Despite the obvious health and mana boost from the Night Dragon's Breath, this addicting dip can have a negative long-term impact to the basic stats of those who tend to overindulge. The mats 1 10-oz. package frozen, chopped broccoli 1 package mild Mexican Velveeta 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup Tortilla chips The process Low heat and patience are vital in creating Night Dragon's Breath Dip. Craftsmen from across Azeroth and the Outland claim to have uncovered the advantages to combining the mats in a specific order, but we've found that as long as all the mats make it into the trade window and care is taken during the combine, the attempt will be successful. Breaking up the cheese into smaller stacks and defrosting the broccoli can speed the process. (More on this recipe and off-spec variants ahead!)
