The Wii U's Google-powered maps app, Wii Street U, has just received an update, allowing users to take pictures of places and upload them to the Miiverse. The Wii Street U app launched in February as a free download on the Nintendo eShop. Once uploaded, you can add emotional tags to your images, to better describe the place in question. Phrases like "amazing," "fun" and "scary" can be used – the latter coming in especially handy the next time you upload a pic of the robot band at Chuck E. Cheese's, we imagine.

Not exactly earth-shattering news in the weeks leading up to E3, but Nintendo Japan announced some nice little additions to its Google-powered Wii Street U. The panoramic mapping service is getting support for the proprietary Miiverse social network, letting you share favorite locations and tag images with emotions like "amazing," "beautiful," "fun" and "scary." And for those times when you don't want to give too much away, you can set things to "spoiler." More update spoilers can be found in the source link below.

Wii Street U, the console's stylized, augmented version of Google Maps, is now available for the system. As was previously announced, the app allows users to navigate to a location on Google Maps, and then use the GamePad (and its various motion sensors) to view the Street View data for said location in a semi-realistic, one-to-one fashion.
