WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. We're kicking off today's Daily Quest with some raid tips from Celiebugs, who at the tender age of 3 seems to have a pretty good grasp of what's important in the world of raiding. Don't be a nubcake, guys, it'll only make you a sad panda, and nobody wants that. Thank you to reader Emily for sending in the video! Speaking of raid tips, I think I've got a few posts around here about just those sorts of things ... Bible of Dreams has a handy list of things to check when asking yourself if you're ready to raid. Raging Monkeys offers some insight into what makes a good raid boss. Cannot Be Tamed has some first impressions of discipline priest raid healing. WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. Reactions to Cataclysm have been mixed, to say the least. People absolutely love some parts of the game, and others parts are continual bones of contention in the eyes of WoW players. One good thing has definitely come out of all of it, however: a whole mess of fascinating blog posts. Let's see what people have to say, shall we? Asilventures hates the words hardcore and casual. Healer Trek loves healing and has five good reasons why you should play a healer in Cataclysm. ECTmmo isn't quite sure how to feel about endgame motivation. Daughter of Ravenholdt Manor is pretty frustrated with a diplomatic guild achievement. Is there a story out there we ought to link or a blog we should be following? WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. We've been doing a lot of lists of guides to gear, guides to tanking, guides to healing, guides to this, that and the other. How about today we take a look at a few different topics from around the blogosphere covering other topics? Like smashing pygmies with a giant hammer. Pink Pigtail Inn delights in smushing pygmies. Sylvara from Raging Monkeys has a guest post on World of Matticus -- 10 things she'd rather do than heal PUGs. World of Warcraft Philosophized ponders something I've been wondering myself: Where have all the group quests gone? Have you checked out Nourish? If you like to cook, the cavalcade of Azeroth-inspired recipes might be right up your alley! Is there a story out there we ought to link or a blog we should be following? WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. Tanks have it rough. They are expected to know all the boss strats, every nuance of each boss phase and the optimal placement of each and every one of those pixelated loot pinatas. All the while, the DPSers are over-aggroing, the healer is running out of mana and, oops, the mage just aggroed some patrolling trash mobs. It's a tough job, but a good tank is golden. Today, the Daily Quest has collected tips for those of you who make it all happen for the rest of us. Tank Like A Girl revises her top 10 tips for protection warriors. This list covers the basics that every protection warrior should remember to be at the top of his or her game. Plague Candles has a partial list of panic buttons for death knight tanks. Hopefully, the remainder of the list will be published soon. Divine Plea also gets in on the panic button fun with a list of protection paladin cooldowns and when to use them. Oops, that's for holy paladins. Protection paladins should check out the EJ prot paladin guide subsection for cooldowns. Ferocious Inspiration has a comprehensive look at feral druid bear tanking. The post covers abilities, builds, Cataclysm gear, addons, glyphs and more. Is there a story out there we ought to link or a blog we should be following? • The Daily Quest: Trinkets, yes!

WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. Oh, trinkets. Over the course of Wrath of the Lich King, trinkets were the bane of my existence. They never seemed to drop, and when one eventually did, every melee DPSer was on the sucker like a pack of starving mountain lions on a bloated zhevra carcass. Cataclysm seems to be a good luck charm this time around, as trinkets are considerably easier to obtain. Bracers, on the other hand ... well, let's not speak of bracers. But just like good old Talon King Ikiss, people definitely want all the pretty trinkets they can get their hands on. Let's take a look around the blogosphere for a few posts on trinkets and other coveted items. Totem Forest has an excellent post detailing what shiny mana-regen healing trinkets are currently lurking in game. Speaking of shiny things, World of Techcraft has the details on how to make lots of glittering gold with alchemy and herbalism. Speaking of alchemy, Pwnwear has a wonderful list of tasty consumables for tanks. Speaking of consumables, Daughter of Ravenholdt Manor discusses which delicious fish rogues should hunt for. WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. I don't know what it is about the color purple, but people go nuts over the stuff. Back in vanilla, I didn't so much care about the purple part of things as much as I did what it looked like -- the sparklier, the better. This is before I realized Benediction was essentially the priest "come kill me first!" glowing stick of certain death when it came to PvP. Today we've got some posts from around the blogosphere that have less emphasis on the shiny and more on the useful aspects of gearing up. The Inconspicuous Bear talks about gearing from regulars to heroics to raiding for inconspicuous bear tanks. Kurn's Corner has a handy loot list that gives holy paladins an idea of what to look for in potential purples. Life in Group 5 has a similar shopping list, only with restoration shaman in mind. And completely off topic but worth reading, Achtung Panzercow is wondering why people roll on RP servers when they have absolutely no intention of roleplaying at all? WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. When the dungeon finder tool was introduced with Patch 3.3, people rejoiced. Here was an easy way to queue up for both regular and heroic dungeons that required much less sitting in capital cities and spamming trade chat with pleas for groups. Instead, you could queue up, go about your day, and then begin your dungeon when the queue popped. These days, the shiny newness of the dungeon finder seems to have faded, 40- to 50-minute queues for DPS being the norm. Today, we've got a few posts from around the blogosphere regarding the tool, as well as behavior in heroics. World of Warcraft Philosophized discusses the problem of subjectivity in dungeon finder policing. Priest With A Cause talks about the current state of the dungeon finder from a healer's point of view. Flash of Moonfire ponders the problem with daily heroics and lackadaisical tanks. WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. Healers play a game of covering the mistakes of others. Tank didn't get to his panic button in time? DPSers not controlling their aggro? Cat jumped on the keyboard? Your friendly neighborhood healer is there to smooth over those hiccups and keep things running smoothly. In today's collection of links, the first one is for everyone and should be committed to memory should you want to live through most encounters. The rest are aimed at specific healing classes to help them up their game. Enjoy -- and don't forget to thank your healer. Tree Heals Go Whoosh covers the new AoE healing spells available to healers in a visual guide to things your healer wants you to stand in. Tales of a Priest lays out examples of when to use Leap of Faith. Falling Leaves and Twigs exports their Power Aura settings for druid resto (and balance) spells. Blessing of Kings blesses us with a list of tips for holy paladins in heroics. WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. I have made no bones about my love for the tol'vir (or as I like to call them, the kitty cat people), although I have mentioned once or twice to my friends that I'd like to see more out of them. Uldum seems to be focused on other subjects, however, and it's those other subjects that have people debating. But then World of Warcraft has no shortage of those types of topics, does it? Let's take a look at some blogs that discuss various hot-button issues: Welcome to Spinksville doesn't like Uldum and doesn't quite know why. Murloc Parliament doesn't like Uldum, knows why, and would like the history lesson kept away from the internet dragons. Foofy's CupCake Factory discusses the 10-man vs. 25-man debate. World of Warcraft Philosophized takes up the age-old Horde vs. Alliance debate and wonders if the other faction is supposed to be a friend, or an enemy. WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. There's a certain degree of predictability to progression. That's right, today's topic is heroic dungeons and crowd control -- and I'm not talking the type where you give motivational speeches to the mentally inept. Here's a small selection of posts from around the blogosphere about taking control of angry crowds: Manalicious has an amazing post full of tips for Cataclysm mages seeking heroics. Girls Don't Play WoW fills us in on warlocks and CC. OutDPS has a good guide to hunter crowd control in Cataclysm dungeons. WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. There's a new way to quest in Cataclysm, and it's incredibly linear. In the days of vanilla, players grumpily stomped one end of Darkshore to the other and back again for the Tower of Althalaxx (which has thankfully been torched in Cata) and filled up their quest logs with quests that had them wandering zones with no idea where to go next or what the zone itself was about. But with Cataclysm, questing has been redefined in an almost streamlined fashion that players are still coming to terms with. Today we've got a few posts about the new, linear nature of questing in World of Warcraft: Righteous Orbs would like to know: Who's driving this story? The Pink Pigtail Inn thinks it all feels a little like a moving walkway. World of Warcraft Philosophized wonders just how linear Cataclysm really is. WoW Insider's on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. Archaeology is my new favorite thing in World of Warcraft, and I'm not quite sure why. The rewards are entertaining, but the actual traveling around and finding bits to make things with is a little dull. Regardless, I am plugging away at it and hoping that soon I'll be able to research Uldum and the Tol'vir (or as I like to call it, "the sandbox home of the magical kitty cat people"). Speaking of archaeology, today's Daily Quest digs up a pretty good guide on the new profession, as well as some other guides about this and that: Citizen Azeroth gives you everything you'll ever need to know about digging in the sand, aka archaeology. Killing 'em Slowly goes over the new warlock spells available. Tree Bark Jacket has some thoughts and tips on healing level 85 dungeons as a resto druid. In addition, Postcards from Azeroth has some stunning new shots of all the new scenery. Is there a story out there we ought to link or a blog we should be following? The giant sinkhole pictured above represents the amount of time I've poured into Cataclysm so far -- and I haven't even gotten around to playing with archaeology yet. The climb to 85 is a relatively quick and painless one, but handy hints and advice along the way are always useful. Today, we've got a few helpful links for aspiring level 85s out there: Sunfyre's Nest complied a really nice list of pre-raid BIS gear for boomkin to collect. HoTs and DoTs has an excellent guide for shadow priests wondering about DoTs and haste. Have you immersed yourself in the new content? Have you hit 85? Cataclysm is easily World of Warcraft's largest undertaking; the new zones are breathtaking, and between new and old, players ended up with thousands more quests than any prior expansion. But what about the Shattering, the moment when the world changed forever? Today, we've got some posts from around the blogosphere talking about the Shattering, the new expansion, and the new 1 to 60 leveling experience. Player Versus Developer talks about the guided tour bus feel of old-world content. Big Bear Butt discusses the jarring nature of the transition between pre- and post-Shattering Azeroth.
