The few, the proud, the folks who are going to WWDC now have an idea of what sessions they can attend at this year's Apple Developer's Conference. The official schedule went live this morning, as well as an attendee guide for first-time lucky winners of the golden tickets. There's even a free official WWDC app (universal) available on the App Store. That app won't do you any good if you're not attending WWDC 2012. The splash screen requires an Apple ID and attendee password, so the simply curious won't be able to see what'd going on at what time. The app provides schedules, maps, news, and photos, and allows you to create a Favorites list for fast access to your WWDC schedule. If these announcements don't have WWDC attendees squee-ing with excitement, then we don't know what will get them bouncing up and down! [Via MacStories] Update: The Loop confirms that invitations have gone out for the keynote, will be held at 10:00 am on Monday June 11 at Moscone West.

Looks like Apple's going to add more than just banner notifications to iCloud.com in the near future: a randomly available beta.icloud.com page has shown Notes and Reminders alongside familiar iCloud fixtures like email and Find My iPhone. If that wasn't enough, some skulking about in the HTML code of the beta page showed for a time that access to the new features requires signing in to the "iOS 6 beta," a fairly strong indicator that a web refresh will go hand-in-hand with a new mobile platform at this year's WWDC. What else is in store will likely have to wait until the developer event next month, but we at least know now that our iPhone's grocery lists will survive on the web. [Thanks, Tommy]

Every year Apple recognizes those iOS and OS X developers whose work is a step above the competition with its Apple Design Awards. Nominations for these outstanding apps start in the spring and the winners are announced at WWDC. This year will be no different. Starting today, Apple has kicked off the 2012 nomination process. You can head over to Apple's WWDC awards website and login with your developers ID to nominate your favorite app. Apple is looking for apps that are well-designed, state of the art and innovative.
