Update again: We think the RSS MP3 link below should work now. Chances are you will only see this episode, but it should work properly. Again, we'll update you on any further changes. This is it, kids, the first episode of the Xbox 360 Fancast under the Joystiq Xbox banner. In this week's episode, we do our best to explain exactly what's changing and what isn't. For the most part, Things will be exactly the same around here, only with even more timely news and a much nicer design. The Fancast, however, will remain exactly the same. Give it a listen and be sure to give us your feedback!Unfortunately, the changeover to Joystiq Xbox has borked our iTunes feed and probably our Zune feed as well. We're working on fixes for both issues, but for now you can either download the MP3 directly or manually subscribe to the RSS MP3 link below.[iTunes] Subscribe to the Podcast directly in iTunes (MP3).[Zune] Subscribe to the Podcast directly in Zune Marketplace (MP3).[RSS MP3] Add the Xbox 360 Fanboy Podcast feed (in MP3) to your RSS aggregator and have the show delivered automatically.[AAC] Download the enhanced AAC directly.[MP3] Download the MP3 directly.Hosts: Richard Mitchell (SenseiRAM), Dustin Burg (SuperDunners), Alexander Sliwinski (Sli Xander), Xav de Matos (Snypz)Produced by Richard MitchellMusic: Intro/Outro: "Electromooq" by Uma Floresta. Sorry to break it to you, fanboys, but the Xbox 360 Fancast is going to be a little late this week. You may have heard that the Joystiq network is undergoing some pretty significant changes this week, so we decided to delay the Fancast so we could talk about those changes in more detail. Keep an eye out for the Fancast post tomorrow, as the changes might affect the podcast subscriptions of some listeners. We're going to do our best to make sure that the current RSS feed will transfer automatically for as many listeners as possible, but you may need to subscribe to a new feed. We'll be sure to give the info you need in the Fancast post tomorrow. And just because we love you so much, you can check out our new Fancast logo above, created by one Terrence Stasse. Enjoy.

Update the final: All versions of the Fancast are now working properly. This is it, folks! The 100th episode of the Xbox 360 Fancast. This bad boy clocks in at just over two hours and it's positively crammed with goodness. We reminisce about the good times, Xav chews out an Alexander hater, we talk to Major Nelson and we eat Marmite. That's right, and we've got pictures to prove it. You can see them in the gallery below, but you might want to wait until after the show to check 'em out if you don't want any spoilers. The show is also filled with congratulatory sound clips sent in by you, something for which we are extremely grateful. In fact, now is probably as good a time as any to send out a big Thank You to all of our listeners. Without you, there would be no Fancast. So, thank you for listening and we hope you enjoy episode 100.%Gallery-42672%[iTunes] Subscribe to the Podcast directly in iTunes (MP3).[Zune] Subscribe to the Podcast directly in Zune Marketplace (MP3).[RSS MP3] Add the Xbox 360 Fanboy Podcast feed (in MP3) to your RSS aggregator and have the show delivered automatically.[AAC] Download the enhanced AAC directly.[MP3] Download the MP3 directly.Hosts: Richard Mitchell (SenseiRAM), Dustin Burg (SuperDunners), Alexander Sliwinski (Sli Xander), Xav de Matos (Snypz)Guest: Larry Hryb (Major Nelson)Thanks to Richard Elliot for the image and Gloqwi for the episode title.Produced by Richard MitchellMusic: Intro/Outro: "Electromooq" by Uma Floresta. For fans: Xbox 360 Fancast Facebook group

This is it, the last episode before we hit the mighty number 100. Barring some horrible catastrophe on a galactic scale, we'll probably make it. This week, we discuss all the latest news, one hilarious Sony email and plenty more. We also spend a healthy (?) chunk of time discussing 1-2 flush toilets and Marmite. Don't ask us why, but Marmite has probably incited more emails that anything we've ever discussed on the show. Go figure. Happy New Year, fanboys, and happy first Xbox 360 Fancast of the year 2009. We thought we'd start off the new year by catching up on some fanmail, so that's exactly what we did. Yup, this show is nothing but fanmail. Gasp, as we discover that Canada does in fact have 1-2 flush toilets. Thrill, as we discuss hackneyed gaming conventions. Become confused as we discuss the mysterious pleasure of creating spreadsheets. It's all in this week's episode. With Alexander gone for the second week in a row, we figured it was time to roll out the big guns. We're talking, of course, about Ross Miller, Joystiq blogger and Gordon Freeman doppelganger extraordinaire (no, not Bob Ross). He joins us for the entire program and gives us his invaluable (?) input. As usual, we cover the week's news and read some fabulous fanmail. As a special bonus this week, we even got an email from Alexander all the way from Germany. Let's get one thing straight: We miss Alexander. He's off in some foreign land enjoying exotic foods and strange power outlets. Meanwhile, the rest of us are just sitting around like total schlubs. Then again, we did get to play the Resident Evil 5 demo, so that's good. We also got to record a Fancast, which we now present to you (commercial free!). • Sorry kids, no Fancast this week

    12.01.2008

You've no doubt absorbed the gist of this story from the headline above, but suffice it to say that there will not be a new episode of the Xbox 360 Fancast this week. The reason for this -- flimsy though we're sure many will claim it to be -- is that we were busy enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday during our normal recording time. On top of this, Alexander is in a whole other country. As far as we know, this country he is visiting, this "Germany," has no internets of its own. Meanwhile, Xav (who celebrated Canada's Bizarro-Thanksgiving last month) has been crushed under a pile of textbooks, the victim of an unfortunate studying accident. Don't worry though, we'll pull it together for next week.Who knows, maybe we'll even pull together a Left 4 Dead X3F Live event as an apology to everyone.

This week's episode is absolutely gimongous, folks. You can blame the extra girth (mostly) on our new feature that we're calling Spoiler Warning. Spoiler Warning takes place after the outro and the outtakes of the show and we use it to discuss parts of games that some might not have finished. This week, we talk about the story in Gears of War 2 and where it might (but hopefully won't) go from here. Of course, we also talk about the normal weekly news and whatnot. We also manage to make Dustin leave halfway through the show. You might call this show sort of discombobulated. Xav is missing for the first half of the show, only to be found just in time for the second half. We're all a bit sleepy too. But hey, we're all still the same happy-go-lucky, affable people you know and love. Anywho, we're marching ever onwards to episode 100, so this episode is really a part of history. The Xbox 360 Fancast rolls on (despite numerous cries to stop). This week we discuss our early experience with Gears of War 2 (Horde mode is great fun, by the way), our hopes and fears for Ghostbusters and the joys of ironing. And, thanks to the perils of a weekend recording schedule, it turns out that we are lying when we say that Rare has no plans to fix the tiny text in Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. Also, Dustin actually manages to make it through the whole show without leaving to play Gears of War 2. Listen. Laugh. At least, that's what we thought they were before recording this week's episode of the Fancast. This week, we talk to Jesse Divnich, analyst with Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (or EEDAR as the kids call it).
