Reminder: 'Splosion Man is $5 this week
We told you last week, but with a certain something likely taking up every ounce of delicious brain juice you've got right now, we felt it prudent to put out a reminder. 'Splosion Man, Twisted Pixel's game of splodey splendor, is 50 percent off this week on Xbox Live, bringing it down to a very reasonable 400 price tag. Deal of the week: 50% off CoD 4's Variety Map Pack
This week, Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers will be able to snag Call of Duty 4's Variety Map Pack for half off, Activision announced. We've seen this with car dealers a million times. With next year's model -- Modern Warfare 2 -- about to hit the show floor soon, Activision is looking to get as much as it can out of the older model.Still, if you're happy fragging folks in the older model, then you may want to check out the Variety Map Pack -- which has been discounted by half to 400 ($5) on Xbox Live and $4.99 on PSN, culminating in a double XP event for both consoles this coming weekend. Reminder: XBL Deal of the Week is RE5 Versus Mode
As promised, this week's Xbox Live Deal of the Week is the Versus Mode DLC for Resident Evil 5. The content has been discounted by forty percent, dropping from 400 ($5) to 240 ($3). We can't imagine there being too many fence-sitters out there waiting to buy this initially controversial DLC (which we liked). Over in Japan, they're getting a different deal: Golf: Tee It Up for 400 ($5), fifty percent off the normal price. Remember when you could just call a game "Golf" and be done with it? Reminder: Xbox Live 'Deal of the Week' is Pinball FX for $5
Just as expected, today's Xbox Live Deal of the Week is none other than Pinball FX. MIcrosoft has slashed its price in half, Major Nelson reports, bringing the cost of the game down to 400 ($5). It's not a bad price and, while it ain't no The Addams Family pinball, it's about your best bet for a fix considering the American arcade has all but gone the way of the ManBearPig.
Xbox Live Deal of the Week: Fable 2's Knothole Island [update]
Update: Okay folks, it seems to be showing up at the discounted price now (make sure you're signed in to Xbox.com). The deal is for Gold members only.For all of you wannabe Meteorologists out there, the problematic weather of Fable 2's Knothole Island awaits you and all of your cunning. The Lionhead community blog reveals the DLC will be discounted up until July 5. Normally 800, the DLC will receive a price cut of 30%, knocking it down to a more manageable 560. You already know our thoughts on the add-on, so we suggest you stock up on mainland items and head to Knothole Island for some rare goodies in the Box of Secrets.
