  • The Daily Grind: What's your current MMO-related desktop?

I typically roll with game-related desktop wallpapers on my computers, and those wallpapers relate to something I'm currently playing (or wishing I was playing, in the case of Star Citizen). Sometimes I go with concept art, sometimes I go with developer- or community-created wallpapers, and sometimes I even go with a screenshot I took myself. That's rare, though, because I'm not much of a photographer. Anyway, what about you, Massively readers? What sort of MMO-related badassery do you currently have on your desktop? • The Daily Grind: Which tabletop setting would make a great MMO?

Tabletop RPG properties haven't fared too well as MMORPGs. Yeah, Dungeons and Dragons Online has lasted for eight years and as far as anyone knows, Neverwinter is profitable. But then you have Champions Online and Pathfinder, which aren't exactly setting the world on fire. And we all know how World of Darkness went. I must be a glutton for punishment, though, since there are a couple of other tabletop settings I'd love to explore as MMOs. Chief among them is 7th Sea. What about you, Massively readers? Which tabletop property do you think would make a great MMO? • The Daily Grind: Do you ride your mount inside?

Today on First World MMO Problems, we're talking about people who ride their mounts inside. These people are annoying. They're not quite as annoying as devs who allow mounts to be ridden inside, or devs who, in the case of Star Wars: The Old Republic, design interior spaces so cavernous that Star Destroyers can be flown down hallways and players feel compelled to ride their mounts inside just to save time. I understand the need for travel efficiency, and mounts are generally faster than walking running. But, really? Do you have to park your 1970s repulsorlift station wagon right on top of the mailbox, clipping every player in a 20 parsec radius and generally ruining what's otherwise a visually pleasing interior environment? What about it, Massively readers? Do you ride your mounts inside? Am I the only one who is bothered by this? • The Daily Grind: What game are you sorta but not really following?

Every time I see or write something about World of Warships, a little voice inside my head goes, "hmm, that actually looks pretty good and you should follow it." And then something happens and I forget about it until the next time I see a blurb or whatever. The point is, I'm kinda sorta interested in WoWS but it's still somewhat on the periphery of my gaming vision. What about you, Massively readers? Is there a game that you're semi-anticipating but not really following? Or am I just crazy? • The Daily Grind: Do you want round number level caps?

Archlord 2 is bumping its level cap to 46. For some reason this bothers me. I don't play Archlord 2, but still. Why 46? Why not 45 or 50? OK, so probably not 45 because the cap was already 45, but why not structure the content in such a way as to invite a nice round number like 50 for the next increase? What about you, Massively readers? Am I alone here or does silly stuff like that give you an eye twitch? Do you want round number level caps? • The Daily Grind: What's your favorite LotRO update or expansion?

I'm kinda slow-poking my way through Blackroot Vale in Lord of the Rings Online's latest update. So far it's pretty standard fantasy themepark fare, but I'm enjoying it well enough thanks to the setting (Gondor!) and the general ease with which I can wander through it. As far as LotRO updates go, I think my favorite would have to be the Riders of Rohan expansion, both because of its sweeping vistas and a delightful soundtrack. What about you, Massively readers? What's your favorite major update or LotRO expansion?
