There were disappointingly few sneak peeks at new gadgets at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, but we did spot a few here and there, which we've compiled for you.


One we didn?t see was the reported diamond-encrusted iPod that P. Diddy received as a gift from HP (one of the biggest sponsors of the VMAs). Other guests didn?t get one quite as blinged out, but if they were invited to P. Diddy?s party they got a free HP iPod.

During the MTV Video Music Award Pre-Show Usher gave a tour of his multimillion dollar tricked out yacht, complete with plasma screens that raise out of cabinets in each cabin.

Next up, LL Cool J showed off his new video on screens worn by some models he had with him on stage while chatting with Kurt Loder.

Omarion played Super Mario Bros. 3 on a GameBoy Advance during his ?Instant Fashion? makeover.

During Jessica Simpsons on stage performance, a couple hundred Virgin Mobile slider phones were used to wave around (as opposed to lighters which could have melted her).

Lastly, HP ran their new HP + iPod ads, which basically had country music people dancing to rap and vice-versa.
