Lokomat robot helps people walk again

A Swiss company has developed the Lokomat, a
robot which helps semi-paralyzed and stroke victims learn to walk again. While in use, the lower half of the body may
look like ASIMO, as the robot wraps around the
user's legs and puts them through the walking motion at a comfortable pace on a treadmill. It has made some patients
relax too much and be a bit lazy (robotic assisted movement tends to do that to a person), but it saves two
therapists from hard manual labor when rehabilitating patients.

Hey, this is not a joke. The "lokomat" was one of the hottest projects in robotics when I was a student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. And obviously still is:

I actually saw this at the National Rehabilitation Hospital. They have two of them and they are in use for rehab of stroke patients.

my sister in law got spine injury at D12 and
her lower side were paralized. no sensation in
legs, were not any control on urinary (respiratory system)

My name is Angel Escobedo, I had an accident and my spinal cord was pressed at T5 and T6 I have no movement jet of my legs and I can't feel them either, I would like to know how the lokomat will help me to get voluntary movement in my legs again, and I would like to Know the places or cities where i can do my therapy and how much will it cost. I live in Guadalajara Mexico, but I can get to any city in the United states.

There is hope. Have faith in GOD. Nutrition, supplements, lots of hard work exercising daily, medical help, love and support from family and friends are the keys. My son, Stephen, is receiving wonderful help from GOD and from a team of doctors in Monterrey. He is progressing each day after having a spinal cord injury and being told he would never move the lower part of his body again. He is now peddling on a stationary bike, doing many movements, and learning to walk again. We are so blessed.
