Olevia's LCT50HV LCoS RPTV HDTV reviewed
Are those enough acronyms for ya? Olevia, makers of the inexpensive 30-inch and 37-inch LCD TVs, have come up with the LCT50HV 50-inch rear-projection LCoS HDTV monitor. For $2099, you get a LCOS-based rear-projection HDTV monitor without tuner—a pretty decent deal, as it's $500 less than the Samsung model of similar specifications. As for the review, it performs decently, although it has some RPTV-common issues with geometry and color uniformity. The casing is also in the not-so-attractive and somewhat big category. Worth it? We're not so sure.
