AllofMP3.com headed for a fall?

AllofMP3.com logo

Though Microsoft's and just about everyone else's antipiracy sights may be targeted squarely on Southeast Asian nations, it's no secret that the MPAA/RIAA's true bane (outside American college dorms, of course) has long been the arctic land of Russia, where cab drivers drink vodka with a fare (seriously), and companies like AllofMP3.com are actually allowed to exist—presumably with much lining of the pockets of local movers and shakers. But now it appears that the low-price leader in pseudo-legit semi-legal (we're being very nice here) music downloads—their buy-by-the-MB pricing model that severely undercuts ITMS, MSN Music, and Rhapsody—has apparently finally gone under investigation by the Moscow City Police Computer Crimes division; what the outcome will be if it actually does make it to court is fairly certain, so we'll keep our fingers crossed that our peeps in Russia pull through. Afterall, though the RIAA would like us to forget, there is such thing as fair use downloading.
