Activision, Viacom settle Trek dispute

They settle, just as we're heading toward having no Trek on TV for the first time in about two decades. Ironic. No details are available with regards to the settlement, but Activision had charged that Viacom had significantly tarnished the Trek license, therefore causing Activision harm as they held the license.

Both companies have said they're pleased to have come to an amicable agreement, though all we can do is speculate on what the agreement was. Best guess: Enterprise gets cancelled, Activision employees get to do whatever they want to a former cast member for three hours. Step forward, Wheaton.
