NOAX CSV-MO PMP can't display video

Noax CSV-MO

Why put out a portable media player whose screen can't actually display video? Why ask why — there are some things we just can't explain. The NOAX CSV-MO is meant to do its video playing via a connected TV, while the "color LCD" only displays text and song metadata. We suppose at least no one will have cause to complain about how senseless it is to try and watch video on a tiny PMP screen. Other features of note are its 8 hour battery life (at least for playing for MP3/WMA, no word on lifespan when used as a video source), USB Host functionality, and — most interestingly — an ethernet port. When connected to an external TV it'll do MPEG-4/DVD/SVCD/VCD/JPEG playback, and it's gonna come in 10, 20, 30 and 40GB flavors — though no word on price yet. That makes it hard to pass judgment on whether the ability to stream media across the network will outweigh the lack of built-in video viewing on the go — seems like you may as well just pick up a network drive of some sort, if that's the functionality you need.
