This spacesuit's got skills

2001 Spacesuit

Researchers at the Centre for Astrobiology in Madrid, Spain, have developed a spacesuit that can instantly turn whoever's wearing it into an astrobiologist, with no training necessary. Instead of relying on the astronaut to do all dirty work, the the suit's computer can analyze rock formations in the astronaut's field of vision and alert them when it detects rock types that need to be sampled. Currently, the prototype is just a hand-held video camera connected to a wearable computer, but in the future the camera could be linked to a heads-up display in the astronaut's visor.
