Apple patents cup-holder iPod mount

Apple seems to just keep those patents coming lately, and the newest one could upset some of the vendors that supply aftermarket enhancements to the company's products. That's because the February filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is for an "electronic device holder" designed to "secure an electronic device and be inserted into a conventional cup holder. The cup holder, for example, is inside of an automobile." That more or less describes Belkin's $30 TuneDok — not to mention various cup-holder-mounted beverage warmers, though we suspect that Apple's not planning an immediate entry into that market.
