Panasonic VS3

GSMArena takes a look at the Panasonic VS3 1.3 megapixel clamshell cameraphone, which features a distinctively thin, square frame in a field of curvaceous clamshells. They raved about the sharp display indoors, but in direct daylight — forgeddaboutit. They were also up on the overall design, particularly the flick mechanism for quick-release opening of the unit. The lack of a subdisplay (which this phone's big brother, the VS7, does sport) wasn't as much of an issue because of the flick mechanism, and because of the color diode alerts that are intended to serve in its stead. The lack of Bluetooth was a definite downer, and they couldn't get the infrared working so, without a USB cable, couldn't do any syncing whatsoever. Still, in the end, the comfortable keypad, hot display and overall design make the phone a contender nonetheless.
