The augmented kitchen

Augmented kitchen

Until we've finally got that uber kitchen bot that can truly handle all of this troublesome domesticity for us, we can thankfully still get a leg up in our least favorite room of the house with the augmented kitchen. The overall deal is that various data visualizations get projected onto surfaces like the countertop, cabinets, fridge, range, sink, and even the food itself. So, whilst whipping up your latest burnt failure special delicacy you can keep the recipe projected onto the cabinets for reference, or you could have the faucet change color to indicate the temperature of the water, or even project the contents of the fridge onto the floor so you don't have to waste precious energy holding the door open. While we can't argue with infusing pretty much any room in the house with an overdose of technology, in the end we somehow doubt this would succeed in luring us into actually… well, cooking.
