Oct 13: What's on HDTV today

NC State football

What we're watching
:

A little college football is on tap tonight and since you voted for Football as the best high-def sport, I figure why not a little pigskin? ESPN-HD is covering the Clemson at North Carolina State game at 7:30 p.m. in 720p.

If the ACC match-up gets boring, I'm switching over to HBO-HD for "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" at 9 p.m. in 1080i. Movies based on video-games typically aren't "Best Picture" material, but they usually have stunning graphics and special effects: two key ingredients for essential high-def. What, you want good plots too?

After the jump is our traditional listing of HD programs throughout the night.

Here are some other HDTV programs showing on selected networks today. All times are Eastern:

ABC (720p): Alias (8 p.m.), Night Stalker (9 p.m)
