Pillow records snoring for fun and profit
We Engadget types happen to be perfectly free of any sort of snoring related problems, but some people could really use one of these snore detecting pillows from Francebed Medical Service Co.. The pillow detects when you're snoring and records those blessed sounds for your later enjoyment, you can then adjust the height of the pillow to see how this effects your late night noise-making. Be sure to add this to your holiday shopping list; what better way to say "you have a problem" than the gift of a snore-detecting pillow?

my gf does all that already. with some extra nagging as well thrown in for free.

yeah i'm in the same boat, Nas. now if they can develop a snore-eliminating pillow maybe one day I can have a conversation with my girlfriend that doesn't involve getting called a "loud-ass raspy night-beast". That would be nice.

I don't snore in my sleep... but I do talk in my sleep almost every night, and most people can't remember what I say, only that I say stuff.
I would LOVE a recorder like that.

It's a good idea, but might be more useful if it had some sort of an alarm (a vibrating pillow?) for when you're snoring? What good does it do to RECORD the sound? How about something that gets you to shift position (beside DH or GF) and STOP it!? My DH would be THRILLED if we could do something about my snoring! (ME too!)

The biggest problem I see with that wonderful pillow is the cord comming off of it. Now if you manage to stop your snoring by using the pillow, the next thing your SO will be complaining of is that cord wrapping around their head at night. Their comfort will be in question again...what can you do?

Personally, I think this is more useful for detecting sleep apnea than anything else. There is a lot of stuff in the news now about it, and how you can die, etc. Snoring loudly is a sign you may have a problem...
