Byrdo designer joysticks

While the trendy way to spend time in your workshop these days seems to be modding old game controllers into other semi-useful gadgets, Roberto Duran (the artist, not the boxer) instead funnels his creativity into building one-of-a-kind joysticks with arcarde-grade components. His company, Byrdo, uses only Happ, Seimitsu, or Sanwa (top manufacturers, we're told) parts to build one-off controllers (sorry, no dupes, not even by request) that are adorned with anime artwork, and that are designed to be as functional as they are attractive. Byrdo joysticks tend to sell for between $140 and $400 (not unreasonable compared to an X-Arcade), but it's a small price to pay for knowing you'll be the envy of the other top-tier athletes at your next World Cybergames event.
