What doesn't this overclocked card have?

PNY Video Card

Yowza, does this new video card from PNY looks like an HDTV dream or what? PNY just announced the availability of the GeForce 6800 GS PCI-Express card that comes overclocked right out of the box. The new card supports flat panel resolutions of 1920 x 1200 with a maximum res of 2048 x 1536.

Combine that with a superscalar GPU architecture, 256 MB of RAM, a 470Mhz core and a zippy 1.1Ghz memory rate and you've got a killer video card. Now if it only had HDTV outs...wait a second, we've got DVI and there's some mention of an HDTV "pod" (ugh, can we possibly use that word any more???). Three other pluses are High Dynamic-Range (HDR) support, HDTV encoding for full screen high-def and the ability to run two of these babies at once!

What does all of this goodness cost in a single package? MSRP from PNY is $279, which actually isn't bad for what's in the box. Good for HDTV and good for gaming; two check-marks on my must-have list.
