The new EMTAC Bluetooth S3-GPS receiver
Transplant GPS is bumping their EMTAC Bluetooth GPS line with a new chip set to improve accuracy; pulling location
data from 20 satellites simultaneously and updating every second, before forwarding the data to your handheld or laptop
over Bluetooth. They're saying this should give you the edge over other
receivers in places where reception
is usually poor, but the $150 price only nets you a 6 hour lithium-ion battery, so we hope you weren't planning on
going very far.

Looks pretty nice
Does anybody know any recivers that work on mac? It would be great to have one but I don't know any that are compatible with a mac, or what software I would use.

Most all GPS receivers will work with a mac and I'm sure this one would too (because it is bluetooth) -- you would use GPSy ... or just go to versiontracker and look up GPS in the search.

I have one of these and I did some accuracy tests and all of them have shown that is accurate to 1.25 meters or less. I have can even get a GPS fix in my basement bathroom. To make it even easier, I hardwired it into my glovebox using leads from my cigarette lighter adapter so it always ready when I need it.

You are absolutely high man. There is no way this unit gets less than 1.25 meters. Maybe on 1 fix yeah. However, on most fixes you will be lucky to get 5m. More likely closer to 10m.

Winterfresh, I have over twenty minutes of logged data using Visual GPS to support my results. I can email it to you if you do not believe me.
