SecurHome merges media center, home security system

Ah, the joys of a media center PC. Hook it up to your TV, stretch out on the couch — and check out your home security system to make sure you're safe from potential intruders. That looks like the idea behind the SecurHome media centers from home-security vendor SecurGen. The systems can control up to 8 security cameras, including IP-based cams, and can record video from both the security cams and the usual array of media center sources. They can also integrate with home automation systems, so you never have to get up from that couch — unless you actually do spot an intruder on that display.

so, you could setup a camera to monitor your home security system, then sit down on the couch and watch yourself watching your security system...

Instead of sitting on the couch, you can read on their website here: http://www.securgen.com/products_SHsecurity.asp which informs you that you can stream the security stream to any pocketpc device.
