Dec. 13: What's on HDTV Today

Beauty or beast?

What we're watching:

Any time you can watch an Oscar-award winning performance in high-def, take advantage of it. Tonight, you can do just that at 8 p.m. when Showtime-HD airs the 2003 movie "Monster" in 1080i. I still say Charlize Theron should be way up there on the 10 best looking in HD list, but not for this performance. Charlize literally transformed herself into a ghastly-looking serial killer for this fact-based movie. In fact, I don't think we've ever seen the same person on both the best-looking and worst-looking HD list, but Charlize has a shot at it!

While we have your attention by saying "Charlize" three times in the same post, don't forget to vote in our weekly poll: we're asking you for feedback on these daily program posts!

After the jump is our traditional listing of HD programs throughout the night.
