Sony Defense Force is up in arms! One problem, though...

Correct us if we're wrong, but to qualify as a "defense" force, wouldn't you be more inclined to actually defend from attacks instead of lash out in them? That's exactly what the Sony Defense Force does, with its eye-rolling, albeit occassionally funny, website. Keep in mind, it's all taken with a grain of salt. We're all about supporting Sony's new console, but this is an extreme example of mud-slinging and it's... well... it's pointless. As many of you continuously point out, it's the games. Never once have we heard of a gamer shout out whilst playing a game, "Man this processor and native resolution is so much fun!" Rather, "This game is fun and/or entertaining!"

Now, we all love enticing a little argument now and again, but how far is too far? We'd like to get your opinions! Has the "console war" (with Nintendo acting as a neutral territory... respect points for that) gotten too intense in relation to prior console release cycles? Who's at fault? The companies who release statements or the listeners who throw them around into the spin machine and troll around? As far as this blogger goes, the Microsoft vs. Sony comparisons end, not because we're rolling over, but because it proves nothing in the end. We don't have our system to defend, yet! All in all, what think you, readers? Is this a sign that the internet has heated this "battle" up too much?
