X2V portable media player announced from X2
We haven't gotten our grubby little paws on it yet, but the X2V PMP sounds good on paper. X2 intro'd the X2V as a next-gen player to their MEGA View 566 that made the rounds last year. It's chock-full of functionality as a video player, photo viewer, MP3/WMA music player, portable storage device, a PIM database, voice recorder, a 6-megapixel digital camera and MPEG-4 camcorder. Those six megapixels are interpolated, but why quibble when you've got eight functions in one small package? A 30GB drive is supplemented with an SD/MMC/Memory card slot for your tunes, videos and data, while the TV-out kicks entertainment to the big screen if the 3.6-inch display doesn't cut it at home. Pricing and availability is to be announced, so for now, we'll scour the CES floor to fondle an X2V.
